What's Your Biggest Traffic Source?

I second that. Just having a handful of reputable affiliates has brought me lots and lots of traffic. Products have to be good though.

I agree with this. Affiliates and SEO and paid traffic have always consistently been my best traffic sources.

This is an excellent point...I second that!

Right now, the top 3 traffic sources that allows you to 'target' pretty well are as follows:

1) Facebook Ads (drive traffic to Fanpages for cheap, and then build a list/monetize from there)

2) Youtube (2nd largest search engine and very easy to rank on Google...so you get traffic from youtube AND from Google)

3) Google Content Network (not search ppc, but the content network where you can buy banners & text ads on relevant sites....Google is strict about certain niches)

Honestly, I think if you master Facebook, Youtube and Adwords, you can pretty much write your own paycheck.

I'm starting to see that this is correct. We just have to do it consistently and correctly.

Without doubt the most targeted traffic you can get is from having your content syndicated around the web on niche relevant web sites.

The traffic is stable and long term, and Google loves the resulting backlinks, because they are built naturally.

What are you pinning? Just images?

Are the pins (picutres) originally yours, or are you repinning other people's stuff and putting your link in the website field?

I do not know anyone that kills it online with free traffic, maybe a few smart marketers.

Also you do not have to just use PPC, there are other paid media you can invest in other than GOOGLE ADWORDS, BING or YAHOO 7search and bidvertiser.

However, paid traffic is where you can leverage your work, and get traffic fast, but you have to trade it for money, but believe you me, paid traffic is not easy and you do have to test to get the best results.

FREE TRAFFIC = is good, but you have to trade your precious time for money. You cannot get your time back ever!

PAID TRAFFIC = is fast, and you do not have to trade your time, but you have to trade your money in exchange for it.

Both have pros and cons, but paid traffic is where you can take your business to the next level (provided you know what you are doing. )

1. ARTICLE MARKETING! This one works. Article marketing for me has been the major reason for the turn around in the amount of traffic my sites were receiving. It's one of the most effective ways to get targeted visitors to your site.

Getting your articles published in ezines and on sites such as addme . com or sitepronews . com will generate an enormous amount of traffic to your site. As a bonus, you even get 100's of subscribers to your own ezine in one day!

The trick is to write helpful how-to articles on current topics that other webmasters want on their sites, this will boost your link popularity with the search engines and increase your rankings. You must also very carefully
choose the right keywords to target in your articles, matching the content on your site. You must target keywords that have high traffic, yet little competition from competing web sites.

2. SEO - SEO is hands down the best way to generate traffic to you site. It's also the best way to generate automated traffic, as you'll get floods of traffic if your site is ranked on the first page of google for a competitive keyword. Once you do the work of linkbuilding, then you can just sit back and let the sales come in on autopilot.

3. The Forums - yes, I know some bloggers are telling you that you can not get anything from the Forums, but I can prove them wrong. One example: I met one of my dear blogging friends on a Forum way before I started blogging. She has been helping me since. Instead of struggling with some newbie mistakes, I skipped most of them and went straight for success. Most forums allow links in signatures - use it!

4. Facebook - Do I need to explain this one? You can use your personal profile to post about your blog, you can use groups and pages. Ask your friends to share your blog post to their wall and groups and wait for all the traffic to pour in.

While on Facebook, I need to mention Networked Blogs. I use this application to post my RSS on my personal profile wall and my blog's fan page. You can also use this application to follow other blogs in the network and rate them.

This is one of my biggest traffic referrals at the moment. You should use all possible tools to get your blog shared on Facebook as much as possible because with so many users, Facebook can bring a lot of traffic to your blog.

dont tell anyone, but I have bought youtube channels for a few hundred bucks in niches, back in JAN this year, offered to buy a 15 y.o. that get major u-tube traffic and have lots of u-tube subscribers for $180 bucks. Thought he would say no, but he needed the cash!, This has been very lucrative too.

A crazy way to get traffic (ON-going traffic that is) that you never might of had for a few hundred bucks.

Content And Distribution

The more you share, the more traffic you will get. Submit articles to sites like eZines which will use and distribute your article. Try Youtube a give also! The more distribution, the more traffic!

Online Communities

Community websites are great as a free traffic source. By actively participating in discussions online you can drive a lot of traffic to your website. People participating in forums share many of the same problems. To be a part of the community in your niche would mean that you can share knowledge, learn, and stay motivated. You can be of service to others, and get plenty of traffic in return.

Start Squidoo

As a marketer, squidoo will come in handy. It is loved by Google when it comes to search engine rankings. Anyone can post topics of their choosing on squidoo and the fast paced search engine results can drive in loads of traffic.

Craigslist

With Craiglist, you can post up ads for free. Google loves Craigslist and your ads can be indexed within about twenty-four hours. Not only should you expect to see search engine results, but views from the many millions of visitors that visit Craiglist everyday.

I respectfully disagree 100 percent ! Organic traffic is by far the best. You keep tabs on the ever changing policies on Google and write incredible content and get quality links, then eventually over time you will get laser targeted traffic to your Site that are ready to buy!

How do you find good sources?

I use ClickCertain for my personal projects and my clients (because they are a partner in my Distribustore venture).

This allows me to put banner ads in front of over 10,000 demographic data points across 97% of the web (to include big boys like espn/foxnews/whatever floats your boat).

The important thing is it cookies the clickers and tracks their web browsing history and analyzes their interaction with my sites.

I can zero in on whom my customers are and tell the software to display my ads to IP addresses with similar associated demographics and web browsing history.

This allows for cheap and targeted traffic with rather gnarly conversions.

yes UTUBE done right can cost you very little and get you massive subscriber lists too.

I have found subscribers from UTUBE often convert to buyers the BEST for some reason.....so I have been doing alot of that!
