So you started a blog - Now What?
Here is what I have been doing,
Write two articles a day (one at night and one in the morning before work) This is just due to my daily schedule. Different people have what I call peak hours. Certain times during the day when they write or work the best.
Note: Of course dont forget to do your keyword research and target longtail keywords.
Find a pic or good meme related to the article and post it to Facebook, Twitter, and Pintrest. If you have any good friends that are into your niche or market, tag them in the post so that they can help you share.
Note: Being active in groups, and constantly making relationships on these networks goes a long way. Dont always advertise your site. BE SOCIAL! Thats what there meant for.
Search for a high traffic, reputable blog where I can make a meaningful and educated comment. (i try to look for newer post where I can be one of the first people to comment)
In a forum where I am already active, I try to 'search' for a thread related to the article or blog post and comment. If there isnt one already I will make a thread. Dont advertise your site per-say. Just post as you are really interested in the in topic give some meaningful information and also dont forget to ask questions about your 'audience'. This could lead to other blog post or articles in the future, and also keep the conversation going.
Make a video about the blog post, even if its just some words typed out in a slideshow fashion. Could be some questions or a summery of the blog post. Of course you can be more creative depending on the subject matter. Then link to the blog post. Not the home page.
If it is something that can be incorporated, make a slide show and upload it to
Upload & Share PowerPoint presentations and documents
Do this for a solid month on your blog. If then you are still having troubles come here and ask questions, link to your site and give exact details of what you have been doing ect.
This is just a daily task of what I try to complete. If you have any other suggestions for people starting out feel free to comment below. I just think a lot of people put up a blog and then come straight here asking what to do, instead of putting in a little work first.
