Would love a bit of feedback/advice

I've just finished writing a short e-book as my free gift for my squeeze page. I was just looking for some feedback on it.

My goal is just to start building a list in this niche.

http://easyproducing.com/wp-content/...ngMusicNow.pdf

For anyone with some experience, if you were me, what would you do next?
-Write a bunch of short articles for a newsletter for my autoresponder for the list subscribers?
-Write articles and post them on a blog?
-Write articles and submit them to directories etc?

I plan on doing a bunch of forum marketing as the first way of trying to drive traffic.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Justin

    Hi Justin,

Firstly congrats on actually completing your own ebook. That's the hard part done (assuming you did write it yourself and not purchase some PLR product.)

If possible try and add some colour and better images to your report. Make the headlines stand out a bit.

    - Format the ebook for Kindle and upload it there with a clear message that people should visit your site for "more" content.

    - Setup a mini course for people to optin.

    - Find the best blog posts in your niche and write short summaries of them.

    - Post some articles to directories.

    - Share you content on Social networks once you have some blog posts.

    - Then repeat the process of writing content and sharing it. Try and offer a solution to the people in your niche.

I know my answer is brief answer but good luck!

      Thanks for the responses

When you say write short summaries of the best blog posts in the niche, should I be using those as "my" articles or should I be promoting them as a summary of those specific people's posts?

        No, not as "your" articles.

Write short summaries of the big sites in your niches. Always reference the site but write you own take on it. Remember you are producing content for your own blog.

More good content on your blog = more traffic. More traffic, more potential signups for your ebook.

  • You definitely want to take care of your current subscribers by having a series of related follow up information / advice ready to go to your list. From there, make sure to frequent forums and sites relating to your niche, and make connections there, establish yourself, and or contribute by posting helpful articles. (no advertising). Not sure how (if) you are planning to monetize all of this, but deciding on a model to do so would be a good idea, I.E. Promoting related products as an affiliate. Have a look at our site and see how we do it in the music niche. Finally, your eBook has some typos and grammar issues. Get someone to read and edit it for you.

First off congrats on taking action and overall the e-book looks pretty good....Like others have said I would try to make the "headlines" stand out a bit more and just proof read it a thousand times or have someone else proof read it for you to get rid of some typos....Other than that great start...

Ya good idea, unfortunately I don't have any followers yet, but I see what you mean.

I'm still at the beginning phase of building the list.

I'll definitely go back and edit the typos etc.

Now that you have your PDF written, how about some traffic to build up those subs?

You can get traffic from sources like:

      Facebook and Twitter
      Yahoo answers works well
      Forums, blogs

And solo ads are a great (paid) way to get traffic to your squeeze page

Excellent report. One thing I'd do is make the font bigger. It's a bit on the small side and not super easy to read.

As for getting the word out there, try Facebook. Here's a method that works well. It's something I've sort of done for promoting Kindle books but this guy takes it to new levels. Check it out:

You can do all you mentioned, but also submit your book to some free ebook directories.
Create small reports also and submit to document sharing sites.
