Why do you hate black hat?

You won't last long on WF.

Wish there was odds on it, I could do with a good win.

Yes it makes life easy for just a time being but with Google updates it makes life miserable

the worst thing with black hat is that in a day, it can collapse your empire,,,,can make one zero from hero.

You can't tell black hat techniques always work. This will invite google penalty. But proper usage of black hat tools will give good result

I agree, it's all about how you use your blackhat techniques. As with anything if you abuse it then you will see horrible results.

Blackhat usually doesn't last in the long run. I must admit I started out on bh sites 11 years ago, made some good money, but I soon realized that in order to build real, long-lasting business, i need to do it the whitehat way. Never looked back ever since.

Then you guys are creating your backlinks but "manually". Right?

Let me be blunt here (speaking as a previous blackhat method type).

Google or any of your affiliates/adsense will catch up with you eventually. Many people here use things that net them long-term profit. Using Blackhat techniques destroys the long-term aspect, and thus is only used for quick gain until either A) it gets saturated and too many people use it or B) the services find out and nail you.

Backlink services and such are generally crap! 100% crap. It's basically spam. If you have good content, you should be able to post your link in a comment on a high page rank site or others will naturally link your articles.

This is coming from someone who has a very big site in a very popular niche/big competition who has NEVER backlinked, bought programs, read WSOs, used Blackhat methods, etc on it. Still ranking 1-3 for huge keywords.

Yes I think BH will not last long and we did not even make the business run and must restart from the beginning again.

You are all doing actually "Black Hat SEO" by creating backlinks... But you are not aware of it. It doesn't matter if you create backlinks manually or automatically. Black Hat is still Black Hat. You don't actually hate Black Hat... You hate just Automation Tools.

This has been an interesting debate.

I think inherently one reason why alot of people tend to dislike Blackhat, is almost the same reason why people don't like "cheaters".

Although many of you say that "blackhat" techniques do not last, I actually beg to differ on one circumstance that google has YET to ever clarify.

When using a program that blasts comments / forum links - there is no way for google to ever determine WHO is doing it. There have been many "controversial" studies that say that blasting for a long period of time can actually result in the website being re-indexed and ranked.

If ANYONE can blast ANYONE websites, who gets penalized? No robot is ever going to figure this out. The only thing google can do is re-index and put you into a sub-category which would eliminate the amount of "link juice" all these crappy links give to your website.

I will say this. Blackhaters are probably some of the most innovative people. If you think about it, they don't operate in the realm of "norm" they operate in the realm where their world can change in a moments notice and they adapt fairly quickly.

Hate is such a hard word to use .. anyway, perhaps the reason why i dislike the spam tools is that most of my websites are hit by spam bots and i spend a lot of time removing spam and blacklisting domains.

White Hat will take a lot of time from you to get rich. Black Hat will make me a real millionaire soon... I am glad I am so interested in BH market.

No, WF members do not hate black hat but it is the search engines that hate black hat and so we have to avoid black hat SEO techniques in our SEO campaign. If you are using black hat for longer then the search engines might punish your sites so my advice is that you also start hating black hat.

In the business world there are short term investments, and long term investments. This is the same as Blackhat (short term) and Whitehat (long term).

Take the "Pay Day Loans" keyword. All the sites on top of Google for that keyword invest in Blackhat strategies. There is no chance in hell that you are getting to the top of that with a Whitehat strategy (there's a complete report and video on it for the nay-sayers). The same goes for other keywords in saturated, high competition, markets. Although the investment is short term, they are making so much money from it.

Who wouldn't invest in a short term investment if the rewards could be millions? Seriously, are people going to turn there nose up at a few million all because the technique is Blackhat? You'd be stupid to.

I have a mixture of Blackhat and Whitehat projects on the go. It's business, you make what you can, when you can. The most successful people in the world invest in both short and long term business ventures.

This is a Whitehat forum though. It's like preaching Devil worship to Christians.

Some people have an issue with morals and ethics when it comes to Blackhat. Some people don't have a clue how to use Whitehat techniques, let alone Blackhat ones. So long as your Blackhat techniques are legal there's no issue.

There's nothing wrong with agressive, brute force, marketing - that's my opinion.

black hat is a very short term strategy. You will be gone soon. Don't risk. Do it the real good way.

In the end - black hat and all kinds of gaming the system never work. they do make life easier but in the end you have more work to fix what you did before. that is my experience and i did not even tried black hat but some other things such as hiring a virtual assistant for a few bucks an hour or ask someone else to edit videos for me.
same for a SEO service i tried.
and, after all, i don't wanna be spammed so why should i do that to others?
and if not for anything else - i want to be able to look in the mirror in the morning without being afraid who i have become. guess i´m more the ethical type of person.

How long have you been using those "black hat" methods, though? And I guess
those methods are really helping you achieve your goals (i.e. $5,000 a month),
short and/or long term?

No I don't hate blackhat tools, or blackhat techniques. Some can be useful.

If you're talking just about spamming then yes I don't like that, although I can't say I haven't done it myself in the past as I'd be a liar, but we all make mistakes.

In the past couple of days I ve seen all types of "Black Hat this" "Black Hat that" threads pop up here on the WF. Im hoping this forum is not going down that route.

Because if you have a real business that means something to you, black hat techniques can put you out of business very very quickly.

If you are just trying to turn a buck, for the sake of money, then black hat techniques can work very very temporarily.

Definitely an unstable profit technique..One day you win some and the next day you lose it all. So its best to stick to white hat it can be tedious but the stability is an assurance.
