Will Google Adwords suspend my account?

Hi,

I'm trying to start using adwords to promote my eBook Cover Actions product.

I bought a Fiverr gig where someone will do the research and set up my adwords campaign for me.

He contacted me shortly after saying that because my webpage has an optin and I am selling a digital product, there is a good chance Google will suspend my account.

here is my page: eCover Action Scripts - high resolution photoshop action scripts | 10 Minute Photoshop

Should I proceed anyways with adwords?

What's the point of adwords if you can't promote any site with optins or selling products..

I must admit, I'm a bit confused.

I don't see any possible violations on your landing page, you can sell digital products and have optins without any problems.

Thanks! I didn't think so... I mean I'm not a google expert in any sense (which is why I got the Fiverr gig in the first place) but there's nothing misleading on my site :S

I probably just go ahead and tell him to proceed

Big mistake. A successful Adwords campaign requires experience and hands on control. Adwords is hard to please anymore.

If you do, do it yourself and contact an Adwords rep. Tell them exactly what you want to do and they will tell you what you need to do to comply with their tos.

Get informed. There are no shortcuts that don't end up costing you somewhere along the line.

    Thanks for the tips RogueOne,

I'll let the Fiverr guy write up the ad and do the keyword research but I will contact Adwords before making it live to make sure I'm not breaking any regs

      Hey Robim,

Awesome landing page, I took a quick peak before sending out this reply.

Here's a couple red flags that are against adwords.

      1. If your landing page is a hardsale, Adwords team will review the website to INSURE that this is your product and not someone else. (Affiliate Sniffing).
      2. Move your privacy policy to somewhere more visual.
      3. You do not have a purchase/refund policy (This is extra, but it shows you care enough to insure the customer knows what they are getting).

      Landing Page Notes:

You have very little clickable links that lead to a final sale. If you have something underlined, its second nature for people to assume its a clickable link.

Couple words of caution using VERY CHEAP adwords campaign services.

      1. If they use a coupon, the likely hood of the account being banned is relatively high.
      2. People who do these gigs, setup campaigns that are... on average rather poor.
      3. Adwords is complicated. Quality score itself is a science. Running a poorly managed campaign will lead to even poorer results.

      And one concern..

      1. If you need someone else to do keyword research for you, how much keyword / content research have you done on your product? Have you built out a target audience profile?

Anyways, just wanting to lend a helping hand! Good luck!

That's only the first step. You have to constantly monitor and tweak your campaign to make a profit.

I strongly suggest you educate yourself on how to use Awords before you start running ads.
