List Building - FOR FREE?!

Hi all,

I'm a newbie ClickBank vendor, my 1st product didn't even launch yet haha,
and I was thinking to start list building, just for the experience

Anyways, I'm SUPER cheap, and was wondering if you guys know how to catch emails from a form and send them to my email address, so I'd add them manually from there.

I don't even have an email series to write yet, I just want to try and gather addresses, if you know an email responder like aweber for that's free for a very limited list, that'b awesome!

Otherwise, a script to get a mail address and sent it to another address would be great!

Thanks in advance!

Dvir

Mailchimp has a free subscription and may be a good option for you just starting out.

I would go for aWeber, start with 1$ then 20$ a month.
    You could deal with that!
(just make 1 sale a month from your mailinglists and you're done..)

Agree with the Aweber comment above. If you only need it for a short period of time it won't cost much. You can collect the emails export them and cancel your account when you're finished.

You either go for AWeber or GetResponse. These 2 are the major cheap ones out there that works like a charm!

To start out, these are more than enough for you to build a decent list!

As for MailChimp(mentioned above), they don't allow commercial emails being sent... so I'd stay away from mailchimp

    Hey Dvir,

If you're going to dive into listbuilding, here are a couple things you should consider before moving forward!

    1. Using your domain / desktop to email will and can lead to IP / Email reputation issues. Being cheap may not pay off well... when both your domain, desktop, and ip addresses are all blacklisted by ISP's because you sent emails that went against their internal protocols. If you don't know ISP protocols first hand, then going with aweber / getresponse will save you a lot of grief.

    2. If you go with either ESP (Email Service Provider) they will have forms that will be given to you, so no need to worry about creating the form and taking in emails.

    3. If you build a list with no autoresponder sequence, you risk spending time building a list that would become rather worthless. after 48 hours with no communication, the list tends to forget about you. This leads to you being hit with the "spam" button once you get you materials together and send our your first broadcast.

If you want to build your list cheap, there's plenty of free traffic methods out there! Best of luck as a Clickbank Vendor!

You're going to need to stop being cheap if you want this IM thing to work out. It costs money to do internet marketing and you need to spend money on an autoresponder. You get 30 days with Aweber for $1, if that's too much of an expense just forget about IM and go do something else.

Totally agree with this. It takes money to make money. You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars but the cost of an email marketing tool is fairly minimal. Look at the money you spend as an investment not an expense.

      This. Exactly.

You probably need either Aweber ($1 first month, then $19 per month), or GetResponse (first month free, then $15 per month). These two are the market leaders for a reason.

If you want to make money online, you need a professional autoresponder with high deliverability, an automated email series, professional support/advice available, and so on. Not a home-made system with emails sent out "by hand".

      Couldn't agree more ...

This is a business and there are costs to running a business. If you are always trying to be cheap .. you will never make it

      That's just the truth

100% agree, and besides transferring your lists from one auto-responder to another is another matter!

Thanks everyone, I guess you're right, I should see it as an investment.

Well, I'll guess that I'll use Aweber's trial and see how things go from there

    Thanks for your help!

Have a look at Aweber. Pretty sure it's only a dollar for the first month trial, so If you're just doing it for funnies this is what I use and find it really good.

I used Mailchimp but the user interface was annoying and the servers were pretty slow so I scrapped that and just kept using Gmail to keep in touch with my clients. I will start using AWeber when I get my website up and running.

If you are serious about your business,go for a paid one. I use aweber myself and are really happy with their services.
You got to protect your leads. The leads are your bread and butter so don`t **** with your leads.

It does not sound like you are serious about list building. The autoresponder is the cheapest most important tool an online marketer can invest in. Not only does it build and manage your list, but it can automate the majority of you online business. It's like having a Virtual Assistant ready to work 24 hours a day for 7 days a week most almost nothing.

You need to think of your autoresponder as being an employee that you have to keep as busy as possible.

    My #1 rule is...

Everything I do online must in some way build my list.

If you even look at off line companies, they are list builders becaue they understand the value of having a list.

So list building is not something you just want to play around with. Make a decission to do list building or not to do list building, but if you do, start out right so you do not have to change autoresponders because if you do, you will end up losing 90% of your list.

Pick a good autoresponder like the ones recommended in the other posts and put a marketing plan together and take action.

    Best regards,
    Steve Yakim

Like most people said above me, if you're serious about this then you really should invest in the best auto responder you can afford.

And when I say that, I mean Aweber or Get Response.

They may seem expensive but going with a free/cheap service will end up costing you more in money due to the loss of sales you'll miss out on due to cheap/free auto responder's poor deliverability rate.

If there's one thing you SHOULDN'T scrimp on... It's this.

People also are forgetting GVO/pure leverage as an awesome autoresponder. I use it myself and absolutely love it, not to mention i don't know about getresponse or aweber but GVO/pure leverage actually does pay you to use it. So just putting another good auto responder out there as well.
      Hope that helps.

i like mailchimp. they have enough features to build a list before you start paying. i would move the list after 500 ppl as you'll be able to regularly afford the monthly fee

    Hey dvir0776,

Due to the fact your low on money, I would advise you to go for your $1 see how it goes, then if your satisfied then pay the $19 a month, which can be a killer for some people, even me at 20 quite expensive with that being said, its essential for your business :- ) you got to keep your leads safes. But if you really dont have any money I mean seriously, then sign up to List Wire - The world's best FREE Autoresponder! and give it ago, or go for a cheaper option, like mail chimp, or Get response.

Hope it helped you buddy : - )
    To your success

I believe that if this is your business and you are taking it and the money you can make with it seriously. Aweber is a $1 for the first month. When your list is created with the product you will have more than enough to cover it : )
