Cheaper Domains than NameCheap

Hey guys,

I've been lurking around WF for a few months now, but haven't really posted anything.

I've learned a TON here and thought I'd give back just a tiny little bit.

There's a website out there that I've been using that I don't think many other people are.

It's CityLynxHosting.com. The direct link is here:
Search, Register and Transfer Web Domain Names and More

They have .com domains for sale @ $9.19 as well as hosting packages going for $3-$15/mo depending on what your needs are.

I've bought probably around 15 domains from them, so I can vouch that they are legit (not that that means a whole lot I guess, being as I'm a n00b here and all...).

Anyway, just thought I'd share for those of you looking to save a buck or two off of domains.

Admin, if I posted this in the wrong place, please excuse my ignorance and move it where it needs to be (I r st00pid n00b ).

Cheers all!

  • Looks like a Godaddy reseller from their support contact numbers, and you are most likely paying more for your domains than you would when purchasing direct from Godaddy with a coupon.

Cheap domains are great but keep an eye on the renewal prices as a lot of people do get stung....

Yeah, there are the $0.99 domains. And $4.99 domains. And $1.99 domains. I've been taking advantage of the $5 GoDaddy sale myself as of late.

This site is regular price $9 domains though. If I can't find any coupons, I go here.

I also know that a lot of WSOs recommend NameCheap. I just figured I'd share that there's a site out there that sells regular price domains for $1 cheaper.

Sorry if that was out of line...

It wont happen if you read the small print...

I get domains at $0.99. Two months before expiring
(if I didn't sale it) I look for Transfer specials that cost
around $7, $8 or less and renew it for an other year.
      Cost me ~ $4.50/year.

I buy domains from Internetbs.net although I also get 99 cent domains from Godaddy. Renewal is sometimes a problem because the price increases a bit higher than I expect it to. So I just move them to namecheap. Usually coupons will snag you cheap domains, so always be on the look out for such.

on Godaddy you get 1 $ domains, so for sure that website that the OP named, it does not seem to worth it...

      renukoot,

You don't get a free year.

If your domain expiration is 07/01/13 and you do the
transfer 05/01/13, the transfer will be efective from
07/02/13 through 07/02/14. In other words, will be
one more year from the expiration date.
