      Hi smcs,

Congratulations on offering your prospects a bonus to get them to purchase through your affiliate link. But ...

... if you aren't getting prospective buyers onto your own mailing list BEFORE you send them to an affiliate site, you're throwing away a ton of money.

Do the math: if you simply pass your prospects straight to your vendor's website, you might be lucky and convert 2-3% to buyers.

But - if you offer your prospective customers something of interest to them to induce them to join your list and THEN send them to that vendor's site, you'll still get your 2 - 3% conversion rate. But you'll still have contact with 100% of those valuable prospects.

That means you can offer them other affiliate products over time and eventually maybe convert 10 or 20% to buyers, depending on how many affiliate products you can offer them.

I hope this simple change in your business model will zoom you to SUPER affiliate gold!

      Warmest regards,

      Paul

If you want to stack the copywriting deck in your favor with tricks and hacks producing winners like: "$20K in three days" "650 sold" "30% conversion", then you might like to know I'm retiring and will spill the beans to two people. More info here.

Paul nailed it ... you need them on your own list first before passing them on.

Remember, you are the one paying for the advertising to get them in the first place. You deserve to capture their info too : )

The software we recommend for tracking your affiliate marketing campaigns is actually using a combination of tools.

ThirstyAffiliates is the best way to track your affiliate links in WordPress and combining this with Google Analytics means you can retrieve very fine grained reports on what is working and what isn't.

Knowing how your affiliate campaigns are tracking is very important for determining if the effort you are putting in is paying off. Without the ability to manage your affiliate links like ThirstyAffiliates provides you would be flying blind.

I agree with Paul Hooper that before you send your prospect to any affiliate products, always, capture the lead first. And that's why most marketers will offer a ebook or report in exchange for their email details. Thereafter it's how you maintain a relationship with them and offering other products to them.

If you are looking for a tracker, You may wanna look at prosper202 or CPVlab. They are very good trackers that many marketers use everday

Usually when you are an affiliate, you can not see the names, emails, and addresses of your buyers.

If you are the product owner and not the affiliate, there are a lot of places that show you everything about the customer.

I personally don't think that it is necessary to follow up with your new buyers and give them something for free. That is the job of the product owner.

You are just wasting your time if you are going to do this with each and every customer.

    That's just my opinion.

This is a way of building a buyers list as an affiliate.

You can have prospects opt-in before sending them to an offer, but you have no way of knowing which ones bought and which ones passed on the affiliate offer.

They are all on your "prospects" list.

By offering a "free bonus" for purchasing through an affiliate link, you entice buyers to come back with "proof of purchase" and opt-in for your bonus.

Those opt-ins go to your "buyers" list.

        Hey onsubsie,
Is there anyway to automate this process?

JVZoo lets you package your own bonus with an affiliate offer and delivers them both in one transaction.

I don't know if there is a catch-all solution for other networks.

I meant I have already captured the prospect into my list.
I just want to know how to track the buyer so I don't mail
the same offer to them over and over again and piss them off.
I also want to give them a bonus that compliment the product.
