How to make this effect? Photoshop question..

I want to know how to create that moving glow on the button (the pink button) on this site?

  • Its a gif image containing several images combined into one.

    It's done similar to this:

    Maybe someone has a better link to show a step by step of what you want.

    Thank you for your reply, I am sure that I have watched a tutorial on YouTube, it was explaining the same effect but I couldn't find it now.

    You basically create the button and then the white layer on top. Then go into Image Ready to create the animated .gif. You set your timing there, and basically move the white image from left to right over the oink image at whatever speed you want. Then save it for the web and, boom. Animated .gif.

    Yes, it looks like an animated gif - pretty easy to do. Here's two of mine:




    I used a paid gif animation product from Ulead (now a division of Corel).
