These are some of the funniest, most unique photos that I have come across.

Anyone know how people find photos like this?

    They use Google Images.

You're not going to find images that you can license.. you have to take those pictures yourself and a watermark is really the best thing you can do. I guess you can try to sue people who use them but I doubt they would show up to that trial.

Open up Google Images, drag and drop a picture into the search bar and it'll show you all the pages it's found on.

and these websites are just taking the risk of being sued by using them?

Not really, once you put pictures on the internet, they're pretty much free game.

        Unless you can:

        1) Prove you are the exclusive copyright holder of the images.
        2) Have Copyright use printed and visible for everyone to see on your site that the images originate from.

The only time companies really try to sue anyone is when they use their Copyright images to make a profit (AKA: If I were to sell all your images to someone).

However, it's not worth it.. trying to sue someone who is more than likely halfway across the country unless they made a ton of money. They won't show up to court, it'll go into default or a "judgement" and there's no guarantee you'll ever see your money.

Check out reddit.com. You'll find it's a treasure trove of website sources for the types of images that you may be looking for. Just look at the different listings and bookmark the websites that you like. My website receives a huge amount of traffic from reddit alone. My niche is humor and funny pics. This website is a great resource for finding funny material.

Thanks, this is a good tip- are these photos are safe to use? or are people being sued left and right?

You should never assume images lifted from the web are "free game" -- or you've never had the experience of run-ins with some of the major international image services, who make a good business out of copyright enforcement threats. I think many of the wildest and most interesting images we see that are monetized are actually staged and planned with model releases and the like. Best to get permission or be satisfied about the copyright constraints. I use istockphoto.com, sometimes (for editorial rather than sales copy) Wikipedia, when the creative commons license is clear, or I ask permission of the copyright holder (or use the image, and ask permission simultaneously, if the purpose of publishing the image benefits the copyright holder), or finally (and best) use my own images.

From my own personal experience, no I have never been sued nor have I know of anyone who has ever been sued. Reddit does have a terms of use section that you can read on their website.
