Top Ten Recession Proof Affiliate Products And Services

Sovereign Lords and Ladies of the Warrior Forum Kingdom:

Please post any ideas that come to you.

I will start. Remember the old saying? Nothing is for sure except for death and taxes.

So how about getting involved with affiliate programs that fit under the categories of death and taxes! Tax preparation services is one idea. Funeral planner products and services could be another.

I am sure there are at least ten affiliate products and services that fit under the category of recession proof businesses.

Your servant,

King Arthur

P.S. You would not see me taking all kinds of vacations if the people in my kingdom were suffering. Do you know who I am referring to?

I guess a couple of "hardy perennials" are pet-related stuff and weight loss. No matter what the economic climate people love their pets and want to lose weight.

Though that said how many people join a gym then give up after the initial enthusiasm has worn off. Perhaps then something on how to keep motivated to go to the gym when you can't be bothered/have conflicting priorities etc.

    • Look for desperation. That's where you'll see ever greens that people spend on even when they're broke. Or how about the IM market which is bad to get into for certain reasons but as far as teh recession, that CREATES customers!

It's not about recession-proof products and services: it's more about recession-proof customers.

To put it a slightly different way, it's not so much about the niches: it's more about the traffic demographics.

Granted, there's some overlap between the two - for example, if you're in niches where all the products are very expensive: by comparison with other niches, they can be good, in very poor economies, but that's because their natural demographics are more affluent to start with, so it underlines my point, really. Perhaps now's the time to be promoting the most expensive products: they're still in demand in their own markets and there's less marketing competition?

Opt out of the recession, and choose customers who have done the same.

      Just my perspective.

Alexa, that was brilliant. Can you share with me by private message about 10 specific affiliate programs and the keywords that would lead me to these traffic demographics you suggest? I believe you have hit the nail on the head. You are one sharp lady. Thanks.

Ever notice that when the economy is in the doldrums, people 'gamble' more.

I don't mean casino gambling either, because when the economy is in the doldrums, gambling at casinos drops.

But not gambling on 'lotto' games (Power Ball etc).

If you're looking for recession proof, evergreen affiliate products to market, look for a reputable lotto product. Those products will always remain popular.

    My recession list

    1) Software/Bot niche
    2) How to make money online, tips and tricks, help and tutorials etc. niche
    3) Offering something people need/want, which is not translated into their own languages. Or has not a lot of content for them to read.

What we should understand about human behavior is that there is a significant amount of people who are willing to spend money on boosting their self-esteem over their actual needs. Though health is still a priority, they are still those who are driven to overcome insecurities particularly related to their physical looks rather focusing on things they really need. This leads me to the answer that those that are related to improving physical appearance - dieting, cosmetic products, gyms, etc and health are not affected with recession.

People are always looking for the next best thing about losing weight. Everyone has some issues with it most of their life so the weight loss and fitness niches will always prosper.

Another one that will always have a lot of potential is the work at home niche or making money online niche. A lot of people are just sick of the rat race and have no other options to make a lot of money other then the lottery but that is not working too well for many.

These 2 niches will always have ups and will always prosper.

The best niche for a recession is make-money-online, because people get desperate during recessions and want to do anything they possibly can to make some extra cash.

The flip side is, MMO type niches tend to underperform somewhat when there's *not* a recession.

I would say that fitness and beauty is an 'evergreen' niche that will always sell no matter what. People will always be insecure.

I would say : weight loss, solutions for embarrassing or painful health problems, baby products, pet products, and money making or employment / training for new employment niches.

In a very bad economy I would think prepping / survival niches would do well.
