    I think I'd pass on this. Just read a post not long ago saying their domain at register.com is up for renewal and they want $40 for renewal fee. So pay .50 cents now and get a huge bill when it's time to renew them.

    $5 still sounds great so I checked it out and tried to register a domain just now. When I get to the payment page the $5 domain is $38!!!! Just like that! No explanation why, just changed to $38

      I don't know how the renewals works but it says that it should get back to the normal price next year when you have to pay again. Which is like $12 ? I don't know. Check the regular domain prices, I think it's approximately 12.99
