Ever Wonder Why Your Step By Step Guide Fails You?
with some aspect of running your business or even just starting a business.
If you're like most marketers, you've probably noticed that after following each
of the steps, you didn't get very good results and you scratch your head and
wonder why.
I'm going to explain why in a relatively short post that will just get right to the
point.
Let's say you've just gotten a step by step guide on how to make money with
videos.
You go through all the steps. You leave nothing out. You then put up your
video and nothing happens. No money.
Why?
You need to look at each step in the process and ask yourself this one very
simple question.
"Does any step require me to do any independent thought?"
If the answer is yes, then there is that margin for error.
Let's take the video example. Let's for argument sake say that one of the
steps says.
Step 4 - Gather relevant keywords to your video and include them in the
tags.
Well, right there, what's relevant? If the tutorial is strictly on creating
videos and NOT on keyword research, then you're going to need to go to
another source to determine how to find relevant keywords.
And the above is a very simple example.
Imagine compounding the problem with a procedure that is quite complex.
You may have all the "steps" but how much outside knowledge are you going
to need to have in order to successfully execute those steps?
That is why so many "step by step" guides fail and why thinking that getting
one is going to guarantee you success.
In short, there is just no such thing as "simple enough for a monkey to do."
So the simple warning with this thread is this. Don't look for an easy step by
step solution, no matter how convincing it may sound. Understand that
nobody can account for your current knowledge or lack thereof.
Naturally, the simpler a procedure is, the greater the chance that you can
follow it and see success.
For example.
Hanging a picture.
Step 1 - Get a hammer and nail
Step 2 - Hammer the nail into the wall
Step 3 - Hang the picture on the nail. (Make sure the picture has a string
across the back of it)
Can somebody screw that up? I know I can. I've wrecked more nails than
you imagine and ended up with holes in my wall that were too big for a nail
afterwards and had to start over.
Nothing is fool proof, though I wish that were true.
Understand going in that there is going to be thought involved.
We are NOT monkeys.
So, what can you add to this? Can you think of something that can make
that process a little better and more likely to result in success?
I'm curious to know what YOU think.
Easiest, fastest way I know, and working for countless others to create an online income.
