In all simplicity - Would this still work?

Would the following, extremely simple, method still work these days?

1. Create eBook, Sales Page, Upsells
2. Promote Sales Page on Google Adwords
3. ????
4. Profit

I know Google is very strict when it comes to promoting sales pages, but I believe it is still allowed. Any thoughts?

    Are you asking if it will work to lose money? If so, then yes.

    Where is your pre-launch and joint ventures?

    Where are your affiliates?

    How else are you promoting?

    Are these cheap or expensive keywords?

    Now lets get back to reality, a point I am making is your steps are a bit too vague, you need to add more, and expand on what you are actually trying to achieve.

    You must create JVs, take some beta testers for real testimonies, design at least launch project, build a list.

    I don't think Adwords lets you send traffic to a sales page unless the sales page has a lot of other content on it as well.

      For this to work, you need a problem that people want to solve urgently. That urgently they will buy the solution off somebody they do not yet trust.

      Also the money you get has to exceed the money you spend on advertising to make a profit.

      Most experienced marketers are prepared to make an initial loss because they have back end products that they will make money on. Unless it is problem known to very few marketers then you are competing with these people.

      Google demands quality landing pages. But you will need a quality landing page anyway to make the conversions needed to be profitable.

      An experienced marketer could make this process profitable but they would probably not do it. For the effort expended, they could make more money elsewhere.

      For an inexperienced marketer, it is next to impossible. They would not have the necessary sales funnel or the required conversion skills.

    It will still work but you might need to try out other traffic sources so that you will be able to get the conversion. There are fundamentals that will always works. It is all depending on testing and tweaking of the campaign.

    I'd say you might be lucky and it will work, but honestly - that is not a "business" you are creating. Actually you create one page with content convincing people to pay for may or may not be helpful stuff.
    You can be lucky or not and that's the point. When you have a real business there are not that many unknown components like in number 3
    So it's much better when you create an authority site and sell an ebook or whatever there. people want to know you before they trust you enough to "waist" (or not) their hard-earned money on your ebook

    I'd say chances are slim to none. PPC still works but there are so many other ways to generate targeted traffic. Too just create a one page sales letter people may or may not be content paying for something that might be helpful.
    People want trust nowadays so you might sell a couple ebooks doing it this way but probably not many
