the best way to stay on a beans and rice budget is to pay someone on a beans and rice budget to do your work for you.

You're best off to actually take the time to learn and develop a skill

I just got to the most popular outsourcing sites like odesk, elance, fiverr, and taskrabbit

pick people who are rated well and go from there

most outsourcing courses I've read are so fluffed.

Never finished reading any of them and did it all on my own. Been working out just fine...

If you still need to supervise employees who you outsource / hire, this is not a passive income.

If you can leave your business for a month and you still get revenue... this is called passive income. You build your own business then you maintain the business once each month. Or even 3 months.

avraham - No, I've never worked with them before. Just thought I'd do some checking up on them and ran across the discussion forum. Goes to show you how important it is to do your due diligence and thoroughly research anything that you may be investing your hard earned money into, especially if it sounds too good to be true.

Outsourcing has its positives but for me, its nerve racking to say the very least. I rather spend the time learning as much as possible that way I have more control.

Would a virual assistant be a better way of doing this.

I know somebody who is paying an VA in the phillipines $250 to do most of the grunt work, including dealing with outsourcers.

So all you do then is check in with the VA once a week or month or what ever and make sure every thing is going okay.

Correct, you need either time or money. Outsourcing requires money and patience. I see lots of outsourcing advice here, and it was all so far off topic.

The OP was asking about a specific product, not at all about outsourcing.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but outsourcing your work does indeed work. You still need a good business & marketing plan to make it succeed. You can't pay someone $10 an hour to spin in a chair and expect great things, but you could pay them to do the right things and be very profitable building a team.
