Q for Web Designers - Of these 3 types of client, which is your most and least common?

Just curious to know, if you are working as a web designer, an ecommerce designer or in a pertinent area, would most of your clients be:

1. Looking to establish their online presence for their existing offline business.

2. Looking to learn how to build an online presence themselves and seeking tutorials.

3. Already have an existing website and wish for you to provide it with a makeover.

Maybe it's neither of the 3 or maybe it's a good mixture of them all?

Thanks.

I have clients that consist of all 3 points. Its just a matter of constantly connecting and building your base. You'll find yourself getting to the same point once you grow a bit. Unless you have a dead set target in your mind to only work with one of those three then its a different story.

Where do you get your clients from?

the people you provide services to, where do they come from?

From advertising via your website, social media and of course word of mouth, attend seminars in your area and hand out cards as well.

Depends on where you get the clients from.

I also have have had clients from all three options you have listed.

And by far the easiest has been the client that has a website, and wants new one of an update. I tend to find these clients understand that the amount of money and work they pump in relates to the type of results that are produced.
