Comparing product to competitors

I have a supplement product (not released yet) which is reasonably better priced then nearly every other competitor in my country.

I've been hearing mixed results regarding to advertising psychology of comparing them. The last thing I want to do is to seem desperate for a sale, so I'm stuck here wondering what to do.

You may say test, test, test. But the fact is, I'm dropping 30% of my net worth into the launch (don't worry, it's not that much ), so I want the best chances to make a decent profit.

Any thoughts and ideas from my fellow warriors?

    Comparing has become a favored marketing tool. The only downside that I can see is that your competitors may immediately start a price war.

    Whether it is a sensible strategy depends.

    If people have never heard of your competitors, then you have given them free publicity.

    But against entrenched well-known competition, it may be a way to establish yourself.

    In the UK the supermarket chain ALDI are doing this to perfection.

    You can probably watch their adverts on Youtube. Try searching ALDI TV ADVERTS.

    Withou slagging off, or making stuff up they are convincing people that there product is alot cheaper, but still a quality prouduct.

    I really urge you to check them out, because I personally think they are brilliant!
