Help Me Monetize A Laziness/Motivation Site

Hey guys, how are you?

I've currently got a laziness/motivation website generating about 70-80 visitors a day and growing (these visitors stay for about 1.5 minutes on average and are primarily from the US and UK). I'm ranking first page for a few keywords as well.

Now I never thought this site would be a success seeing as I put almost zero effort into making it -just a basic WP theme and about 5 articles I outsourced. Therefore, I never thought about monetization much.

How should I monetize the traffic? Do you know any good self-help offers that are specifically targeted to laziness (or motivation)?

Cheers,

Sam

    Hey Sam,

You can try promoting affiliate products that pertain to the self-help market. You can start with ClickBank or OfferVault for starters.

Some folks have luck with Adsense, but it can be slow, so you know.

I've got Adsense on there but I don't think it's a particularly high CPC niche for me to focus primarily on that.

My ideal offer would be a "beat laziness" style course, eBook, or audio training system that earned me at least $10 per sale.

Provided I could make even 1 sale a day of that I would be happy with this site and leave it running as is.

You can leverage your visitors and when it reach at least hundreds of visitors daily, you can rent ad spaces. Maybe in Fiverr. But I agree with YasirYar. Try to find a product from Clickbank you can promote. Have an optin box to collect subscribers. If you have your own product, that would be great.

You should be doing A/B testing to maximize adsense CTR

I would recommend creating your own information product related to helping people motivate themselves. It should have a low front end price point, and you should have a higher priced upsell on the back end. Maybe you can offer personal coaching on the back end to help people motivate themselves. Do some research to figure out how you can help others motivate themselves, and use the education to provide the opportunity for people to be coached. You will need to be perceived as an expert in the field to make this work the best.

You can implement adsense with your website, or you can try promoting clickbank products.

Have you considered a paid members only area? Then you can create custom content and motivating material or syndicate with self-help authors and content producers. Adsense and affiliate programs work great but if you could add a premium option that is another choice to consider. An income stream that YOU control.

    A few ideas:

-Create a product (an ebook for example) and sell that. Or just get an affiliate product.
-Even better invest in an autoresponder and start building an email list, build trust with them and then sell them the ebook. Keep in touch, promote your website, and any other products you might want to promote.

Hang on a minute, are you saying you we're to lazy to make a good lazyness website, too lazy to write the content and to lazy to figure out how to monetize? AND it's working! Hats off to you that's gold!

The easiest might be affiliate sell a motivational ebook, or better yet write a 60pager one yourself. If your traffic s lazy people the will probs snap up a easy fix ebook. Try and sell somthing that might actually help the poor sods though.

If it were me, I would design the website and guide people down two separate paths.

    1. Continue mastering laziness
    2. Beat laziness/become successful

For section 1 (I'm sure some of your visitors come to your site to continue in their lazy ways), I would guide them to games with CPA offers and/or affiliate for gaming guides, etc.

For section 2, I would do a short, to the point presell then either direct them to one or more affiliate self help guides, or create your own self help guide. I would then hit anybody who buys it with a 2nd back end product.

I would try to get them on a mailing list either to continue killing time, or to improve their life. Then send quality information to each route. Then continue to sell more items as an affiliate or your own product down the road.

My second suggestion for you would be to:

    1. Paint a picture of a lazy guy
    2. Who becomes successful building a passive income online
    3. Sell the method you used to become successful online with a passive income stream
    4. Sell that you're now lazy again, doing whatever you want to do while the money rolls in

This is assuming you have some way to provide quality information about building a passive income online. Everyone openly or secretly wants to have a passive income or secondary passive income and be able to do what they want to do.
