I think no matter what software you choose, you are going to need some help from a professional developer as surely there will be some customization. Probably start with software you are familiar with using like Wordpress, vBulletin or Xenforo and work backwards. I think forum software may handle the other parts too, but you haven't really given any details.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

I would recommend BuddyPress as the options you required are all associated with building and keeping an active community. For anything that you might want to add for this platform, there are many plugins you can integrate with it to make your site more efficient.

depends on your budget, the best would be to get a custom social network that handled all of that and more. $1500-5000

If you are on a limited budget, get Digital Access Pass (DAP) and wordpress and you can do it all through the CMS and plugins that are freely available. Cost you $97 i believe.

Hi, if you're willing to pay someone to do it, I can (and for less than you think!).

I can create a website with any type of membership that you want (free previews then click read more and they are stopped and need to pay for the full post, drip feed content, different membership plans, different access for different members etc.), a fully functional forum and blog, on a great looking site - you'll be impressed I guarentee - I can show you a membership website I have created that also has a forum.

Do you have an email I can contact you on if you're interested?

I think the budget is the place to start. Membership sites can be built for $10 or $10,000 it just depends on how fancy and complicated you want to make it. Focus on generating the content first, then build up your community. Communities are hard to get started with no members and it will distract you from getting the payments flowing in on your membership site. Once you have about 30 or so members then you can build out the community and go from there. Before you even touch a piece of software you should have a clear idea of what you are trying to accomplish and what your niche is. I've seen people spend thousands of dollars on software that they never use. I've also seen people launch membership sites in under a week and start making money on day one (they usually have a decent list and a large amount of content already written). Anything is possible. Membership sites are one of the cheapest businesses you can start with a huge upside potential.
