Do OTO's Still Convert Better than Offers that are Not "One-Time"?

Hi,

I wonder do One Time Offers convert far more better than offers that are not "one time", as visitors can just bookmark the OTO page, or just reset the browser's cookies etc. to start the down-counter again?

    Most visitors won't bookmark or reset their cookies, so you only get that once chance to sell to them.

    I find they convert better when you only make it one time to give them that sense of urgency.

    There is definitely some plugins that you can purchase that does create real OTO's that even if the person bookmarks the page to come back later it will be a dead page and the only way he would be able to buy it at the OTO price would be to opt in with a different email address and go through the OTO Process again..

    They do still convert and do for me, But I also have a nice strong follow up to set the Tone for my business so my subscirbers Know that I do know what I'm talking about and I am someone to listen to and if they take the advice I give during my Follow up and start applying it they will start seeing a difference in there business...

    But anyways I am no affiliate of this plugin but I do own it, I have not used it yet but it allows you to create REAL OTO Pages that can only be accessed ONCE even if they do bookmark it, The link is only good for the time they are Presented the OTO...     I personally found that an OTO can double the amount of profit that you would make selling the front end product only. (of course the OTO should be more expensive than the front end)

    As long as you provide value and do REAL OTOs.. You should convert well.

    One time offers will prompt them to really think hard whether to get them or not as it implies, it's just for one time. People sometimes disregard offers when they know they can attend to them later on.

    It really depends which market you are selling in.

    For example in IM I know that any offer I see being presented to me, regardless of whether they claim it is a one time offer or not, I know I can always go back and find that offer again.

    I don't think I have ever come across a one time offer that I couldn't find again if I really wanted to. In others words most sellers who claim their offer is a one time only offer are usually just lying anyway.

    So I think you will find in this market a lot of people have caught on to that fact and so the 'one time' element doesn't produce as big a rise in conversions as it might in some other markets where that tactic has not been used and abused.
