Where to buy vouchers and gift cards for a UK campaign

I am trying to setup a campaign for one of my web sites where the user gets a voucher when signing up. Either a gift card sent by snail mail or vouchers sent by e-mail. We are especially looking for gift cards for the major UK super markets.

The problem is that all the voucher companies that we have contacted in the UK do not sell to companies outside UK, and our company is based outside UK...

Anybody here at Warrior Forum who is able to help or who has some ideas on what to do?

We have already tried:

- Welcome to Gift2Go MasterCard and Visa Giftcard
- Gift Vouchers, Gift Cards and Gift Certificates - Voucher Express - Next Day Delivery
- One4all: One4all, Gift Card UK, Gift Voucher UK
- MasterCard Prepaid Gift Card in the United Kingdom | MasterCard®
- UK Gift Card & Voucher Association
- Gift Vouchers | Gift Cards | Vouchers | Next Day Delivery | Buy Online

And they would not sell to company outside UK.

If they'll sell only to a UK company, maybe you just need a UK company? It costs only about £35 - £40 to form one, or buy a ready-made one "off the shelf", I think.

Is it possible that you can (through a company formations agent - they tend to be accountants, as well) just form a wholly owned UK subsidiary with a UK registered office, UK-resident nominee director and so on, and buy what you want to buy that way? All these services are openly advertised and apparently pretty low in price. I don't suggest you'll necessarily be able to do all that - from offshore - for £40, but am wondering whether it might still be a fairly easy, affordable and practical solution?

  • Good point. We will consider that if we have no luck finding company.

We might have found a company in Germany that sells vouchers to many different countries.

I'm in the UK and you can just go to the store and buy them here. A lot of those store-specific gift cards actually are sold at-cost as well, without any fee to the buyer. However, I think a lot of them have to be used in-store and not online (though I'm not an expert on that), so there's the issue of mailing it out. In any case, you don't need to work with the actual distributor to get them
