Ryan Deiss's Driving Traffic Website

I have been reading some posts on Ryan Deiss's Driving Traffic website and I am kind of surpirsed that many of the articles have very few to no comments. Even the social media buttons indicate relatively few likes and tweets.

The content seems to be decent and for someone like Ryan, I would think he would be getting a lot more interaction and comments because he is so popular. I am also surprised by the total number of fans his website has.

Moreover with a website like drivingtraffic, I reckon the first thing you would look for is lots of traffic and discussion which somewhat seems to be missing.

Any thoughts??

Maybe he does not use ppv or ppc to drive traffic to that site because he does not sell there.

I think it's a legitimate concern. But Tony is right. He's not going to be focused on driving his traffic to this site. It's mostly for credibility purposes so people have something pretty to look at.

I do see most of the articles on the home page do have comments though. Some with 17, 23, 30 comments, which is a lot considering the fact that most people just don't comment.

For example. Look at how many people are subscribed to the Warrior Forum versus the people who actually participate. The gap is huge.

But back to Ryan. Ryan is very successful. One of the reasons is because he's focused on driving all his targeted "money traffic" to ugly squeeze pages, where people can only take one action.

Not to distracting home pages. It would be a waste of money to send people there.

Strange you should mention this because a few days ago I started getting emails from this list and wondered why as I don't remember ever signing up for it. Wasn't even aware of the site.

DrivingTraffic.com is an old property I more or less let die (which was stupid), so now I'm doing some very low-level content strategies because I have some bigger plans for it in Q3.

But as both Marc and Tony pointed out, this is not my core property and I'm not actively driving traffic to it, so please, please, please DO NOT look to it as a site to model.

For a truer example of an authority site done right, check out SurvivalLife.com.
