Especially in the first few messages focus on giving away value, share useful information that will help them. You should always keep your subscribers in mind when sending out an email, think of stuff that you would like to receive in your inbox from other marketers. I wouldn't try to sell in any of the first emails, get them to know and trust you first by proving you are knowledgeable and out there to help them.

If a suggestion's welcome, it might be much better to send a download link to the freebie than the freebie itself. This way, you'll hit people's in-boxes without the attachment causing that or any other problems. It also helps to get your subscribers clicking on your links, which is "good training" for them.

There isn't "one right answer" to this: it depends on the traffic demographics and on what you've given them as a freebie and how well it branded yourself and secured a high open-rate. (It can depend on some other things, too, including even the niche, but those are the two main things, anyway). This thread may help: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5300985

You give them whatever you told them they'd get when they opted in to join your list. Pack your emails full of value (and that doesn't mean you need to write essays) and give them information they can use to solve their problems mixed in with stuff that entertains them (videos, blog posts, infographics etc) with some promos chucked in and you're good to go.

Try to get them interact with you. ask for comments on your blog that you can answer. Invite them on your facebook. Get to know them. talk about the same things you talk about with your friends. Try to figure out how you can help them.

The more you know about your list, the more you'll know what to give to your list.

It varies how often you should send.

There are two modes - you want to keep your current subscribers happy, but maybe be slower with making sales - decrease the number of affiliate links per useful piece of content. This is less wasteful.

The other way is to send affiliate links every time with a story, and some help. You will lose a few subscribers, but so long as you're adding them quicker, that should be okay. This is the approach if you want to get non-buyers off your list quickly, and find the buyers (and put them into another list when they buy).

The answer is try try different timing and see which works best for your list, and your unique style.

If you can mix the content that you give them such as offering them tips, tricks and suggestions on something that you're discussing and then offering them something to purchase along with a bit of small talk, then you should be fine.

People on your list want to get to know you as a person. They could care less about how long you have been working online, and how much money you're making and such. They want to know what is in it for them.

The main thing is, is that you keep in contact with your list and give them exactly what they need when they need it. Don't always sell sell sell to them because if you do that, then they will drop off the list like flies.

Build a standing relationship with them. If you do that, then not only will you keep them on your list, but they might even do a bit of promotion for you and get others to join as well. So as you can see here, it is all in how you build the relationship with them that really matters.

The better the relationships are with those on your list, the more likely it is for you to make money from that list and so on.
