Wow! Anyone out there? I Need a little Help Please! My System is Infected with sdra64.exe HELP!

Hi Warriors,

While helping another Warrior clean up a virus on their websites I managed to pick
up one myself and it's now on my system.

If anyone has a spare Key for activating Prevex 3.0 AV, could you please
PM it to me?

I have contacted Prevex and they will be sending me 5 keys soon. I will
return a replacement for the Key that you give me.

This virus is a Backdoor key logger and AVG picks it up but can't do
anything with it. I also have Prevex 3.0 on my system.

I can't download any other AV software as long as I'm infected.

Oh, FYI, In Prevex's Blog they do say it is OK for you to give away
activation keys. Here is the link to that blog post to verify what I stated.

The Ultimate Prevx Blog Linkage Extravaganza!

Thanks in Advance,
Have a Great Day!
Michael

PS, FYI, You can get 5 free 1 yr. Prevex Keys too. Read about it in the
their blog link above.

        Hi Tina,

Thanks, I've Googled my arse off today trying to find the cure...lol

That video won't work as this is a mutated version and it keeps jumping
around changing locations on my Hard Drive. (Actually impressed with the
thought they put into it) and (at the same time they had better hope I
        never find whom created it)

My biggest problem is the fact I can't load any new Virus programs into
the system to attack the problem!

I've tried going below Windows but of course Vista won't allow that unless
you have another system installed and can pick and choose which should
start the system. In this case I don't.

I have an antivirus program on my system now that has not been effected
but I can't download the product key to enable it.

At least it says it can fix it??? You know how that goes? Won't know for
        sure till I try, right?

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully someone with an extra key to the program
will step up an save me!?

        Have a Great Day!
        Michael

Michael, have you tried disconnecting your computer from the internet and booting up in safe mode to remove it?

You might check out some tools like:

Trend Micro HijackThis - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com

Also, if it is a Trojan, make sure you have your firewall up

Hi Jeremy, Yes, I have tried HiJackThis and the mutation evaded it and now
has taken out my AVG antivirus program too... I Can't re-enable it at all!

I'm about 3 inches from pulling out a can of woop ass making my mission in
life to search and destroy these ass wipes!

What comes around goes around so their time will be soon!

              Thanks,
              Have a Great Day!

PS, It's already taken out my AVG Program and Windows Defender.

I recently had a similiar problem with the Vundo trojan virus. I found this website very helpful -> "elitekiller.com". I had to use another computer and downloading the files this guy recommends. I used a USB pen drive to get the files into my computer and because most of these progs are portable - there is no installation so the virus didn't know what was coming. This was a 14 step process but it worked! It took me 1 1/2 but reformatting and reinstalling everything would have taken 4 hours!

            Oh Wow!

I never reposted the results in that thread! Gotta find the thread an do
so while I still can, Thanks!

She doing much better Thanks for asking. It wasn't her appendix it was
her bladder and they believe they can control the symptoms with proper
treatments. She had a very hard time giving birth 2 years ago having
many different complications. They believe this is all caused by the fact
that the afterbirth wasn't all properly removed after the birth of my
            youngest granddaughter.

Medical Marvels, they will never cease to amaze me!

Have to search for the thread now, Thanks!

I've had luck with similar infections with a free program called Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

      Malwarebytes(dot)org
      <-- I can't post links yet

Install it, and run it from safe mode. This has been a lifesaver for me as an IT guy.

I was going to try Prevx, it seems to get good reviews, but there may be a problem with the EULA:
