Maybe we're just self-centered product creators

I often here marketers say people don't succeed online because they're lazy or they blame shiny object syndrome.

Maybe we can think of this another way...

Are the products we create user friendly? Are they clear and easy to implement?

Another argument I hear is that people don't buy the product, they buy YOU.

That may be true at first, but over the long run, if your products continue not to provide results, do you think customers are really going to care how cool you are?

What are some ways we can make our products more innovative or easier to use?

One area I think could be improved upon are Webinars. I'm not sure how other people feel, but they're simply too long. Marketers tend to talk forever and ever about their "story"..personally, this doesn't do it for me. It's annoying. Just introduce yourself for a few minutes and move on.

I invite you to share your thoughts. Thanks!

It is always nice if you have a good story, but even nicer if you have a good product.

For me it really depends on what type of product is being sold.

At the end of the day, you could give someone the EXACT blueprint to success, let's just say it was a 10 step process that if you follow it would guarantee results.

Even with that being said - and with the guarantee more than half of the people that buy won't EVER implement it.

I read online somewhere the other day, I think it had something to do with Frank Kern where they did some research and found something shocking like 73% of people that buy a product don't even finish going through it, let alone implementing it.

Yup!.. Most people won't take action because it takes "work"

You really need to have good product. Quality and only quality can ensure the success. Also it is obvious that your products can be more famous than you. People can forget you but they will not forget your product.

I think it depends on the niche that you are in if you are in a niche the dating niche people will implement what you are teaching, but that is different for IM dimply due to the size of the market. Shiny object syndrome is definately a contributor and finally i believe that a prospects circumstance can be a factor aswell because if someone is in a desperate situation and they are looking for a quick solution the realisation after going through the product that they have to work makes them less likely to implement the information.

If you think that the webinars are a bit of a faff, do you want to be a trendsetter? Something i have found is that people in the IM/Biz opp niche dont do thing because they feel like it, they are doing it because it is what works and there's research behind it and thier decision to do things the way they have done it.

Alas these are my thoughts and that all they are just thoughts.

I'm in the process of creating a step by step video training course. The very first module was specifically created to address this issue. You're right about the product creators being part of the problem. Even if the strategy they teach is solid, they have an obligation to address all the sticking points the end user will most likely face - but they don't. It's a stupid mistake.

Most people make the mistake of consuming all of the information at once. The product creator needs to address this by telling them to put the report down, pause the video and go implement EXACTLY what he/she just taught you - and here's how you should approach it. This should be done with every single actionable piece of content when applicable.

Productivity skills/tips/whatever should also be included with the product and how to implement them for best results with the actual product. There should be very clear actionable steps to be taken by the reader (viewer) at the end of each milestone - and made absolutely clear to not proceed any further until those steps are completed.

There should be a "set up" and "conclusion" to every milestone. There should be the "how" "why" "what" at either the beginning or the end of each actionable step. Your bloody Granny should be able to consume your product and be able to seamlessly implement the action steps and get the same results as the teacher.

    Too much?
