Tools you Should Offer your Affiliates
I want to share some info that may help you in attracting more affiliates to your products.
If you're serious about using affiliates to sell your products, you need to seriously consider your affiliate page. That is the page where you are going to put tools for your affiliates to make it easier for them to sell your product. It's a toolbox that any affiliate can look into and pick out what they need to get the job done.
Not every affiliate is going to want to market products the same way, so while you may not use a specific tool when you sell, it might turn out to be someone else's favorite choice.
Take the time to look at other marketers' affiliate pages. Some go all out with offering everything they can think of, plus they offer ongoing support with new materials.
The perfect affiliate page might include all these:
- automatic link changer
- ads
- keywords
- articles
- blog posts
- emails
- autoresponder series
- brandable PDFs
- free reports for opt-in
- product reviews
- testimonials
- text links
- ebook covers
- banners in all sizes
- videos
- podcasts
- signature links
- testimonials
Some people balk at including their keyword research in their affiliate tools because they want to hold them close to the vest - like their own big secret weapon.
Would it be better to keep all the great keywords yourself and only be able to use them infrequently with your marketing efforts? Or would it be best to give those excellent keywords to all your affiliates who could do more than 50 times the marketing you could do? This should be a no-brainer.
Your affiliate tools page should also tell the affiliates what to do. Give them
a call to action with steps like:
- 1 Get a ClickBank ID, here's how.
- 2 Grab these promo tools now.
- 3 How to use the tools - email your list, put on your blog or website, create an opt-in report , set up a Squidoo lens, etc.
- 4 Sign up for further affiliate updates.
