How much traffic do you get from your signature

Hi,

How much traffic do you get from your signature?

I am sure its really depand on many things, like how much posts you have, the quality of the posts, how frequence and relevant your posts to what you promoting and much more..

And offcourse volume of traffic is not equal to quality..

but can you share a specific statistics for you, so I might understand the numbers..

Thanks

Average 10 - 20 uv per day from a forum. But... I am concerning about monetization regardless how many uv per day/ month.

    I am not sure.

My signature points to my thread in the Warriors for Hire section and I don't think there is a way to track those stats, but if i am wrong, can someone PM me with the details? Thanks.

Well your thread has a post count and a visitors count at the right of the title. Just bump it so you can have it on the 1st page and see just how many visitors you have

You might want to redirect it through your own website, so that you are able to see the stats of the page. A third party service like bitly will probably get the job done too.

OT: I have recently started actively using the forum and am getting about 1 visitor a day now. Not that consistent though.

A 301 redirect should take care of that but I don't worry about it.

You can track links by using a URL shortener or Redirecting a tracked link to a page ion the Warrior Forum.

If your signature link was your own website then you could track clicks with google analytics or something similar.

I got the picture in the signature a week ago and so far had about 100 unique visitors.
Make sure you track your link so you definitely know.
Also, it depends how often you post, of course. If you post 100 times per day (I know nearly impossible) you are seen much more often than with 2 times all two weeks.
The last days though I had no time to post and still got a good amount of traffic over my signature.
Good investment for me so far

It's hard to track for the signature that points to my warrior service offer thread but for the outside links, Google analytics says it's around 10 - 15 a day.

I took a hiatus for the last year or so, but I can give you some numbers for the last week or so.

With 1-5 posts a day I average 20-40 visitors a day to one of the links. I haven't really checked the traffic to the others, but I have had one recent list signup from one of the others.

The key is NOT to spam the link to everyone, but to help anyone who you are capable of. As long as you have something valuable to add to the conversation, drop a line. People notice it, and will notice your sig file.

The moment that you start spamming every post and start referring to your signature for the answers you will cease to get any traffic to your sites, as you will lose your right to have a sig file.

Of course, it helps if your file has an offer that is related to IM in some way, though some do use the authority of this site to get a backlink to a niche site with it.

About six per month - yes six. It use to be nine, many years ago. Sadly, people do not click as much now. Mostly, I like the sig. However, it will not generate a lot of money. In contrast, a single video on you tube generates every single day thousands of uniques. This is a much better strategy says me. I do not believe that your sig is very important now as Google now discounts links that come from forum post messages. Basically, forum spam is main reason.

I have gotten between like 5-150 per day on Warrior Forum. To be fair the 150 was when I had posted something like free advertising credit or something. I forgot what it was. I don't really care about how many clicks though, I only care about serious business inquiries, of which I get about 1 per day if I post a lot on here.

  • 2-10 per day typically. I've found that most of the traffic I get doesn't come from posts I made that day, but from those I made in days or weeks past. Interesting.

Well I get approximately 1 visitor per post. But it not really matter how many you get but how many of them you monetize.
In my signature I have my page, review page about 5 Figure day clickbank product and I can see people who visit my page, join the system. Means I'm doing good job.
On the picture below you can see that yesterday I had 5 visitors coming from one thread comment.

And here are another picture, 1 visitors per comment...

The sig I have right now, I can't track but I know I have about 6 to 8 more people join a day than usual.

Most of my sigs I get from 2 to 10 a day here and if I work hard I can get 20.

Its not an easy question. See you need to post in relevant cats and post frequently to get clicks. You need to be the second or third or post to be seen well.

It is about what your signature does and says but it's also about timing.

I have gotten 100 day and more from all my sigs on the forums when promoting something really hot.

I'm really starting to test out how images in signatures here in the warrior forum works. Just paid the $60 per year and starting out

I think plain text links are buried too deep and you need to stand out with images in your signature to get some traffic out of it.

I am getting very less but quality traffic from my signature on various forums. I am getting ltos of traffic from my signature on mobile forum sites. But still quantity is low but its quality is on niche based. If you are posting signature on quality forums then it would be better to get more traffic.

I see a common theme among many of the posts on this thread: "It depends".

There are just too many factors to consider.

There are, however, a few things that appear to make a difference, at least to me.

    1) The more value you provide, the more likely people are to click on your signature link. There is a vast difference between writing "thanks, good post" and writing something that is truly beneficial to others. When you do that, natural curiosity sparks and people naturally feel compelled to read more about what the poster is 'all about'. Go ask Alexa (Smith) how many signature clicks she gets daily. Admittedly, I generally click on her sig link at least once a day just by myself...lol

    2) That is a nice seque into the next point. Post count matters. If people see that, not only have you been around the block for a long time, AND you have contributed thousands of posts, that peaks natural curiosity, as well. Of course, you could have 10,000 posts of garbage versus 10,000 posts of high quality substance. The metric is a tad limiting, in that it doesn't really convey quality....however, there is a natural curiosity associated with those posters who have many posts. It conveys longevity, dedication, and commitment. As a result, it's likely their links get clicked on more.

Well, those are 2 things I can think of off the top of my head. Always strive to provide high value content, whether elsewhere or right here on the forum.

I am averaging about 5 - 10 per day, but this varies heavily on how active I am in forum participation. I have a couple of threads I have created and/or commented on that consistently get a good many clicks, but it all seems to depend on how relevant the signature link text is to the discussion at hand.

I hope that helps a little.

One word of caution on using your signature to generate business. You can end up banned from the forum if you violate the rules about "self promoting". I can honestly say I do not understand them, but if you are going down that road it would pay to check out the rules and make sure you are OK. Good luck with your venture. Ed.

I believe what they try to get you to understand is posting just to post so your sig is seen. You put something in your title that directs to your sig and you just post.

Now if you have valuable content and your signature happens to fit it then you will probably be okay.

It's basically called spam and has to be determined on a case by case basis. Some say the rules are not fair. Well guess what, nothing is fair totally and things have to be interpreted for the better or worse.

There is many times I have went overboard with my controversial posts here and I do believe because I don't try to profit from everything I do is the reason I'm still here.
For example my sig right now. I am at a point where I just can't focus so Im building forums and solo groups and other facebook groups. There is no value in those two groups. There could be but I have no desire to profit from them right now. I saw a need and wanted to fulfill it. Now someday I may want to profit from it, then I will not mention my sig while talking about it here.
