PayPal Setup Help Please...

Hi,

I've been trying to setup JVZoo and PayPal to sell ebooks but one error I've been faced with in JVZoo is...

Due to PayPal limitations on your PayPal account you are not able to sale products on JVZoo.com.

My PayPal is US verified and on contacting JVZoo Support I was informed I need to setup PayPal to accept split payments.

From what I see that means I have to upgrade to a Business account with $19 monthly fee... unless I'm missing the point.

Would appreciate some advice on this matter... I don't mind the $19 monthly fee and will go ahead with that if its the only option, but don't want to sign up for it if its not what I need to sell on JVZoo and there is something else I need to do.

Thanks!

I wasn't aware there was a monthly fee for a Paypal business account. But here it is:

    New Pricing Plans

I couldn't find anything on the Paypal site though the above looks like it's real.

You might want to call them to clarify.

    Good luck.

Login to your PayPal account. If you are just doing business under your personal name, you want to covert it to a Premier account. If you will be using a legal business name that you have the legal paperwork to prove you own and have a BUSINESS bank account in the business name, upgrade to a business account.

Both Premier and Business accounts will work fine with JVZoo.

      Thanks Rob.

I do have a Premier account with PayPal that is verified and no limits on the account.

However, JVZoo still shows "Due to PayPal limitations on your PayPal account you are not able to sale products on JVZoo.com". JVZoo support gives the reason as "Split Payment system" which needs to be enabled in my PayPal. Not exactly sure where that option is or how to enable it... would definitely appreciate any pointers in that direction.

      Tx.

I have a premier account working fine with jvzoo. Don't remember having to turn anything on. I may have and have forgotten.

Why don't you shoot jvzoo a support ticket and ask how to turn it on? They usually respond fairly quick to support tickets.

I dont mean to hijack the thread with another paypal inquiry, but from the link travelinguy posted, it states that paypal is charging a recurring fee.
I have never experienced a recurring fee from paypal despite having transactions enter into my account.
Is this because my PP is grandfathered or...?

That monthly fee is for "CheddarGetter", not PayPal. PayPal does not charge a monthly fee for Premiere or Business accounts.

Thanks but I'm not going to be selling on WSO or FSO. I just need to collect payments via PayPal as an option. I'm primarily using Authorize.net which has the option to pay only by credit cards and hence the need to use JVZoo to accept PayPal payments.
