Question About Amazon Associates

I went to sign up for an account but noticed that they asked for a website URL. I dont have a URL as of yet because I have yet to build my site. Can I add a URL of a future URL I plan on building or do they confirm the site first prior to allowing you to join?

Also, if I want to sell multiple products from different niches and create multiple sites, do I have to make multiple accounts or can I use the same account and just paste my affiliate products on any sites I create regardless of the initial URL I signed up with? Thanks for any info.

Why don't you just until you do have a URL to submit? I don't think Amazon is going anywhere.

You don't need to sign up for multiple accounts to promote various products across different niches. You are able to create multiple tracking ids that you can use on your sites under one account.

I would suggest you wait until you have a URL to submit as well. That way Amazon doesn't have any reason not to accept you.

    I agree with Mike/Dan...

It will serve you much better if you organize/prepare your business and then apply for Amazon Associates Program. If you start applying for programs with a half put together business plan...you're setting yourself up to get denied.

    Just my 2 cents,

Absolutely, to all replies above. This also applies to any other platforms such as CPA ones too and many others.

Could you use a URL from a free blog site such as WordPress or Blogger? For example yourname.wordpress.com?

How are you planning on using the Amazon Associates program?

      I would avoid that.

Based on personal experience, they use your domain name in your Associate ID. I ended up with an Associate ID for a site that I shut down years ago. LOL

Im not sure about if they confirm or verify your site URL,

You don't need multiple accounts to do that to promote multiple products. tracking links will help you track them all activites for your product.
