Ouch! Accidental mirror sites. What to do?

A friend has 2 domains. Home and Home .
They both have the same content, not intended. Unintentionally they have both been uploaded to the root directory.

How to fix this? The luvnmuffin.com site is the more important one. Can the mirror site, ragamuffin-cats.net be redirected to luvnmuffin? Should we upload different content for the ragamuffin-cats site, or would a redirect be OK? (I'm not familiar with re directs)

At this moment none of the sites are ranking for their keywords. The luvnmuffin site USED to get the #1 and #2 for targeted keywords.

Thanks.

    Hi Evita,

    A couple of options...

    1. 301 (permanent redirect) Home to Home.

    2. Remove/Replace all the content from Home asap. Use this option if you have specific plans for this site.

Something else to take into consideration... Has either site ever received a notice via Google Webmaster Tools?

Thanks, netmatrix. The 301 redirect will probably be the easiest way to go.

      You're welcome Evita.

A suggestion regarding the 301 redirect... I would redirect each page from ragamuffin-cats.net to its corresponding page on luvnmuffin.com rather than just redirecting everything to the home page.
