Dear Warriors,

Today I've created a video presentation in IM niche and I would appreciate it if you could review my video and tell me if my accent is ok! As you probably know I am from Europe and I am not a native English speaker but I think that I don't miserably fail when it comes to accent. :p

Your opinion is important for me! Please tell me the truth, I am not going to commit suicide if my accent is awful. Instead I will do my best to improve this skill

      It's too slow.
      Volume too low.
      Accent OK

      Perhaps you can add some graphics, cartoon graphics or photos.
      Just plain type can be boring.

      Your voice could be more exciting.

    You probably need to put some more emphasis in the whole video. The whole volume thing + background rumors makes it really hard to follow. And yeah sadly the whole accent thing doesn't help at all , mine is even worse that's why I never put my voice online

      Hi, just had a look and to tell you the truth I only lasted the 1st minute before I was frustrated with the trifecta.
      1. Get rid of that back ground music it's really annoying when you're attempting to hear what you're saying with your accent.

      2. Your accent is pretty thick so having back ground music and low volume makes it pretty tough to understand what you're saying.

      3. It's just flat out boring.

      It sounds like you're using the mic on your laptop or a really low end mic.

      2 suggestions: the Yeti by Blue is on sale right now on Amazon for $79 which is 1/2 price. That is a great mic.

      The Samson Go mic is decent mic and is available for $39.99 on Amazon.

    Is it possible to sell with this type of accent to a native english speaker? I mean do they stay and listen to me if everything is in place or they simply live because of the accent? :/

      People will want to be nice and not really say this, because social dogma says we can't tell the truth about this type of thing. But the truth is I would say nearly everyone would leave because of the accent.

        Now, I just had an idea for you.

        Have a native English speaker do an intro for you. They say, hey, I've got this crazy expert from XXX (your country) and he's tearing it up like a Demon with his tail on fire over their in XXXX (your country) and it's a serious pain in the A$$ to listen to this guy because of his accent. But get over it because this guy can teach you how to make XXX$$.

        You're not going to believe what this guy has for you. So, cowboy up for a minute and listen to this....

        If you have someone intro you and break the barrier for you then it could work to you're advantage because you're the out of town expert.

          Zourkas,

          Some people will be put off by your accent, some will find it sexy. Europeans will probably be more tolerant of it than Americans. I remember once an American marketer promoting Lee McIntyre (a famous marketer from the north of England) asking his list to ignore his "terrible" accent and just concentrate on the content.

          As some people have touched on, it's not the accent, it's the quality of the video. Fonts too small, no clear message, no eye candy, poor sound quality . . .

          You should check out someone like Steven Washer and take one of two of his courses - here's his latest one - BrainyVideo

    Yes this is very bad to hear Patrick! Just what I found....

    *if your accent is distracting it can have a serious and unwanted impact. It makes difficult interactions tougher, detailed explanations difficult, and your ability to influence diminished.*

    Your accent is perfectly fine.

    Your script is very boring however and covers many subjects. You'd do a lot better if you pick one subject and stick to that.

    You've picked up on many concepts here and anyone who has been around for any length of time will spot the various sources you've used to put this together.

    Congratulations on being pro-active though. Keep doing these videos and you'll get better but you MUST specialise in something.

I believe that human brain is more capable than we can imagine and I believe in the power of human being !! Do you know any course?

      I love visiting youtube and search for "American accent" You'll learn tons of things there !!!
