I have been running my website for over a year. I have not pulled in any ads since then. Recently I tried using Fiverr to place some ads on my site to earn extra money especially to pay for hosting. I heard about Fiver here on WF.

Less than two weeks after posting an ad I got my first order, after that the orders just kept coming in to advertise on my site.

So I placed another ad offering to create banners and charged an extra fee to place it on my site in a premium spot. Got my first order for that today with the extra gig.

I am now a Level 1 seller and hope to improve. Some say I should be getting ads from top advertisers, but hey Fiverr pays the bills. Those big advertisers will come when my site grows bigger.

So I guess I'm saying thanks for introducing me to Fiverr to the Warriors and is there anyone else who has had Fiverr success.

Interesting. Were they $5 Ad Spots, or part of an up-sell package? What was the duration you stated the ads would be up for?

    Cheers

I placed the ad for 30 days. I guess people liked that. They were all $5 with the option of adding an extra gig. I got some extra gigs.

Search for big websites in your niche and see if they want to get in on some ad space for more money

Or go with adsense if you get a lot of traffic. Right now it's cool you're making money though.

I have 100% rating also. I pride myself in delivering the ads same day, sometimes within minutes because I am always stalking my emails for new gigs that come in. I also ask every single customer to leave a review, and throw in tweeting and FB their site as an incentive to do so.

You might want to graduate to Tenrr next. I started running ad gigs on Fiverr but then found Tenrr. You can sell your gig for $1 to $10.00 and it goes straight to your PayPal account instead of losing part of it to Fiverr and waiting 2 weeks to get it.

No, I didn't drive any traffic to my gig at all. I just placed a gig selling ad space for a 300x250 size for 30 days on my popular website.

My gig is easy to find too, Advertising - Banner Advertising - Ad with grey box with 300x250 in it. If you need a link to my gig pm me and I will send it to you so you can see how I phrased my ad to make it sound attractive.

It's nice to see that you're earning money with Fiverr. Most people can only wish to be making money with it... let alone online with a website. It might be even easier to make money on Fiverr than it is ebay... but that's a debate for another day.

I understood in the same way as you upon first read, however the OP is actually using Fiverr to bring traffic / value to his site. i.e vice versa. There's no referral to Fiverr from the site.

Yeah, that V2 version looks awesome.

Personally, I know that Fiverr is a sleeper when it comes to making money online. I used it to build a list of buyers, and even got a coaching client for $500 just because the buyer liked my gig.

I received orders from heavy IM hitters...V2 is just gonna be a monster for those that learn how to leverage it properly.

Anyone heard Justin Wheeler used it to upsell all the way to a $10,000 client.

      Don't sleep on it people.

Fiverr is truly an amazing place for both IM beginners and advanced ones. I just like it's simplicity. The power of fiverr is that it brings the customers directly to you, and you don't have to pay anything. Sure, they take their cut, but honstely - those are they visitors, so they deserve it.

Just got invited to V2. I'm looking forward to it! I think Fiverr is pretty great. You can do a lot with a $5 offer. I guess a lot of people think that's all they can get from it, but there are ways to leverage it.

I think Fiverr success is definitely a matter of social networking and buyer satisfaction. I've put up one gig several times and have noticed a big difference in traffic depending on buyer ratings - and possibly who adds you into their collections.

Fiverr sellers take heart - if your gig is slow going, it may not be because of the idea itself. It might be about customer satisfaction - and getting added to people's collections.

I did a ton of onsite and offsite marketing for my gig - and I think most of my traffic came from Fiverr itself. Keep those ratings up!
