I want to create a forum for other niche like fat loss. Any forum building expert can help to guide me on create a successful forum like "Warrior Forum"?

1) Do I need to engage a lawyer to create "Rules and Regulation" and "Term and Condition"? Or is there any template I can get for free or to purchase?

2) I already created a forum using "phpBB" from Hostgater. Is it necessary to use 3rd party application / software?

3) Any video or ebook to guide me on this?

4) Any thread and post from "Warrior Forum" have discussed before. Please help to provide the hyperlink or private message me.

If you want something like the warrior forums I hope you have some money behind you. The warrior forums are hosted on a dedicated server that I would imagine costs anywhere from $150-300 a month.

    Good luck though!

I have run some small forums in the past and I'd say that phpBB and Hostgator is a good and cost effective way to get started, but my advice is that when you reach more users it will be better to switch over to vBulleting and dedicated hosting. If you do not yet have the budget for vBulletin forum software yet, there are tools to import phpBB data over to vBulletin, so it should not be a huge problem to make the switch later on.

I had a phpBB site hacked about 3 years ago so I advise you to take good care of security.

Anyways, in order to make a forum successful, you're going to need a lot of traffic and a lot of content. You can drive free traffic and watch your site grow slowly or use paid traffic for faster results. Many people will not join the forum if it does not have much content or users, so you'll also need to solve that somehow.

The cheap way to get those legal texts on your site is to find a template or see what other similar sites have on them and adjust it to suit your needs. Alternatively you can pay a professional to do it for you.

    I came across this:
Website Toolbox - The Easiest Way to Create a Powerful Forum
(Please note, this is NOT an affiliate link. Just something I came across in my own investigations on getting a forum started.)

I had VBulletin years back, and it was a nightmare for me, because it requires some pretty well-versed knowledge in php/mysql to set it up, in my experience. I even had the ticket and phone support, which didn't help. Sorry to say, I felt their "support" wasn't very supportive, if you know what I mean.

I think this option I provided in the above link to looks promising (especially since the price is inclusive of tech help), but not sure it's the safest way to go. Obviously, you don't own your forum in this case, you're leasing it. Which means if you decide to cancel, you're out a forum and all the hard work you put into it.

On the other hand...part 2 to my VBulletin nightmare...I had purchased a version with so-called "unlimited" upgrades (of that version). However, they scrapped that version altogether and came out with something altogether new in its place, which meant I'd have to pay again to keep my forum going. So, it was the same end result.

It might be worth it to start with something like this option I found above (Website Toolbox) until you're no longer a "one person show" and can afford a team of tech experts to run your sites?

P.S. - There are sites where you can find free fill-in-the-blank Terms and Conditions/Privacy Policy templates...Just Google it.

      People forgot an important step:

Spend around a decade growing the forum by figuring ways to monetize that actually enhance the user experience and the fostering of a community.
