I know that wordpress.com does not allow affiliate marketing with their blog platform. Does anyone know another free blog platform that uses wordpress as their platform for affiliate marketing? I know about blogger but I don't want to use blogger. Yes I know you should get your own domain and hosting but Im just using the free platform for testing.

Anyone know of any blog platform?

Even if you are just testing things I would still use your own hosting and domain.

Then use wordpress.org, its still the best platform online, and it gives you more flexibility. you can get hosting for as little as $4/mth on blue hosting and many others.

How about using Free Hostings such as 000webhost or ByetHost to set up your self-hosted Wordpress on? (Not recommended but if you want free)

TLD name as low as $0.99 for the first year is also a good deal!

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

Exactly as Run suggests above - just install WordPress on some decent, secure, free hosting.

Freehostia would be my first choice (it's entirely free, without time-limit; they'll even give you a free sub-domain if you want, though using your own domain-name registered elsewhere is a much better idea. They have one-click WordPress installation available at Freehostia, though that isn't the most secure way to install it).

    Very wise.

The dichotomy here isn't between "your own hosting" and "free platforms".

It's between "safe platforms" and "unsafe platforms". It's the host's TOS that matter, not whether or not you pay. For the purposes you're talking about, a free site hosted at Byethost is no different from a paid site hosted at Byethost. But both are entirely different from a site hosted at Blogger or Wordpress.com, of course.

If your only doing it for testing, why don't you want to use blogger?

wordpress.org + .tk + free hosting. Site5 is giving away free 1 month hosting. I am not affiliated with site5 at all, I just tried its free trial that has expired now.

000webhost or ByetHost would be good if you really want to use free hosting.

Maybe you can start by trying out Wix.com..

I believe they accept affiliate marketing! They only advertise their program on your site when you use their free hosting
