Youtube videos, how to disable showing related videos at end? rel=0 not working

Hi -
Anyone know how to add an embed tag for youtube videos so that it won't show related videos at the end? googling and testing, I've tried using &rel=0 tag but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

And, how to force HD playback automatically, like 720? I typically just use my own video players and s3 streaming, however I thought it would be good to use youtube videos as well.

thx,

ken

  • Remember you have to add it 2 times in the code. It's difficult to see what's going on without seeing the code. Also make sure your editor is not messing it up by adding characters etc.

hi - thanks for the help; didn't know that re twice in code, I've been using standard iframe embedding with code links like:

    <iframe width="840" height="580" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/link-here" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    I should've noted it's for iframed youtube videos I can't get a rel=0 or hd=1 param to work

Perhaps this is what you're looking for? You're doing &rel=0 instead of ?rel=0

Hi Joe, thanks a million, that worked! I've googled and tried out what many others said, which was to add a &rel=0 and that didn't work.. but I just tested the ?rel=0 code and that works fine even for iframed videos -- many thanks!
