Does anyone else feel this way?

Why do I feel like this?

I work regular job and get a pretty decent income compared to my online income. Though why is it much for satisfying earning online then it is for my real job?

When I get a check from my real job, the feeling is nothing special. Though when I get that check from my online job, that is barely anything compared to my real job, I am much more satisfied? Why is this?

Why do I feel much more satisfied with the little money I make from online, than to the real big money I make from my real job?

When you work for the man you are working hard to make someone else rich.

When you work for yourself you are working hard to make yourself rich.

    It's much more satisfying.

It's also much more satisfying to earn money from something you have created yourself.

      Couldn't have said it better.

I also feel more satisfied when, I get rewarded for something that I work hard on for my own self. And I believe most people will do too

Continue to work hard. Imagine how it's gonna be when, your online income > offline income ? Then, realize it

      Good luck.

Oh yeah, cause affiliate sells are not making the sellers (Amazon etc) rich!

Who said anything about affiliate sales.

Sell your own products. Why be the affiliate when you can be the vendor?

I think it's exciting to see sales and conversions cause it's like a game you are winning and gaining points! It makes it fun.

If you get direct payments through PayPal, download their app on your mobile! It's very fun to see their push notifications roll over each time you get a sale!

Because you have control of your own destiny with your online business. As far as income goes, the sky is the limit.

We know this isn't the case with our regular daytime jobs.

Good opinion, honestly online marketing for me is more of a hobby, then a 2nd job.

You have set a goal, put together a plan of action and you had real achievements and success. Hard to beat that!

I think also in the back of your mind or maybe on your mind all the time you think that one day this online income could replace your regular job. That might be the real excitement you are feeling.

      • Your regular job is not as rewarding even though the money is much much bigger because you don't have ownership.

Ownership is what you have when you build an online anything that makes you money even if it's small money. You did it, solo. How rewarding is that? YES!

Why do you keep calling it a real job? Sounds like you have some mindset issues to work through.

Working at some job is not very fulfilling, your just going along doing what everyone else is doing.. Conforming and doing what your suppose to be doing.

When you make money online, that is money you make on your own, which gives you a feeling of real security, as opposed to fake security provided by your "real job" as you like to call it.

I think there's also the fact that when you work in a paid job, you know more or less exactly how much you are going to make every month (and of course it's never enough). Wheres the excitement in that?

For me, one of the big attractions of internet marketing is that I never know what I will make from one day to the next. OK, some days can be a bit disappointing, but then you get a stream of sales come in together and there's a real buzz from that.

Your creating something you can control and end whenever you want, but at work your under someone's control, and at work you know someone else is probably making more than you are from that hard work even if they are paying you a good living.

I understand the feeling. It is basically because you felt that what you are doing is something that truly works, and you get to earn from what you are doing. This disproves the premise that most people say that you cannot make money online as there is no such thing.

But when you actually earn money online, you feel rewarded for all your hard work and that shows them that there is indeed legitimate money online - you are the living proof of it!

I think the key is loving what you do and believing in it. You can earn all the money in the word in a job that you hate, it will not give a sense of accomplishment. If you can do something you are really passionate about, you will appreciate the money you earn with it much more.

Ok ... say you lose your job and all you have is your online income, which according to you, is barely anything compared to your offline job. How satisfied are you going to be while you're trying desperately to pay your bills and eat? I would be grateful for the job that is providing for you and your family if you have one and work on building up your online job.

Probably because you sturggled to make any money at all online for some time so now you are finally starting to reap the benefits of your efforts. I experienced the same sort of feeling when I first got started. My first Clickbank check was only $50 and extremely small in comparison to my real job but getting that check was like winning the lottery!

Here is the long and scientific answer to your question:

Dan Ariely: What makes us feel good about our work? | Video on TED.com

The short answer is that we take greater ownership in things that
we create ourselves even when they are NOT better than other
    things.

What isn't fun is when you log into PayPal to see $90 automatically taken out from someone refunding everything they bought in an affiliate sales funnel all at once!

At least your 'real' job you mentioned never takes part of your paycheck back.

There's upsides and downsides of both. It might not be as 'exciting' to know how much exactly you are getting each week and that you won't be getting more than that amount each week, though on the positive flip side of that, you also know and are guaranteed that you won't be getting ANY LESS than the amount you know you'll be getting. So it's security in knowing how much and that it'll at least be enough to pay all your bills and allow you to budget and plan. And you can get a month paid holiday!

Until your online income surpasses a certain level and automation and diversity with consistent increasing income, then it's far less secure than a 'job' until then!

Because the money you make online is something you've done completely on your own. It's a form of self-sufficiency. And self-sufficiency's root is ultimately "freedom". So, the feeling you feel is freedom and oh what a wonderful feeling it is! I think it's something all humans long for and spend most of their lives trying to achieve.

It's because with every small internet check you get, you know you're getting closer and closer to your dream of financial independence. You're getting closer to take vacations when you want, take days off when you want, lay in bed for as long as you want, hire personal chefs if you want, go and pleasure yourself whenever you want (ie: massages), or do any of your other desires. This is why you feel this way.

alot of people fail because of their own mind games I would try to get yourself some help there first.

I did this first, and tried to get my head in the right place first.

Its also how I went from making a crappy $100 a day online to much more. Its all in your mind, if you are not ready for it it will not come, in my opinion that is.

When you work for someone else, there's only so far you can go. You can only make so much money, and often times, it's not much.

When you work for yourself, you are limited by absolutely no one. You can, with enough work, make as much money as you want. And you can do it your way.
