Starting a Internet product service

I've been thinking about starting a product service business lately specifically for my city. I'm going to be researching something that's hard to find in stores, and make it easily accessible for people to purchase from my site. I've never started a business like this. I currently reside in Canada. So I'm trying to figure out how I would go about doing my taxes for the end of the year for the website. Which Debit/Credit system to implement. I want to keep the products at my house in bulk so do I have to provide my house as the location to our "main office" and do I really need to provide one. I'd appreciate if someone knew about the Canadian Law and etc for making a online product service website.

Thank you

Maybe you can try looking up some Canadian small business forums? They may be able to provide you with more in-depth information on your local business needs.

I would say those as seen on tv products maybe something you can look into.
I personally love those products. While I was still living in Canada, there was only 1 store, its not easily accessible. In Vancouver

When did you live in Canada? During world war 2 ?
There are 84 stores here now, of which 6 of them are within a 15 minute drive of me.

  • I currently reside in Canada. So I'm trying to figure out how I would go about doing my taxes for the end of the year for the website.
I would suggest to consult first with an accountant who specializes in small home businesses, more specifically, one who specializes in online business operations. From there you can decide if you want to do handle your own accounting and taxes etc, however, there is a little bit to learn, and entire books are written and take up many pages to answer the "how I would go about doing my taxes" question.

    Which Debit/Credit system to implement.
I use several Payment systems I.E. PayPal, Clickbank, and other merchant accounts. There are many to choose from and it comes down to a personal choice depending on your needs. The main thing is that you keep your books in order. (see above).

I want to keep the products at my house in bulk so do I have to provide my house as the location to our "main office" and do I really need to provide one.
Provide one to whom? To customers... Government... Other? Either way, there can be two addresses, one where you operate, (known as your physical address), and one where the mail goes, (known as your mailing address) this could be a P.O. box.
Sometimes both mailing and operating address can be the same.

I'd appreciate if someone knew about the Canadian Law
I try to just know enough in order to run my business. The rest just hurts my brain.

and etc for making a online product service website.
That I do, and I suspect allot of folks here who have an online product / service do. So I hope you will get some good advice in general.

As for your starting point, this one below is your best bet.
