How to geotarget target US

I live in India. I have regd. a new domain name with .com extension. I am ready with my 1st post but holding on it. Before publishing my new post, I want to take all steps to make this my new site geo-target US market (receive higher traffic from US).

Please advise what should I do to get higher traffic fom US?

  • Do you use the google webmaster tool? You can geotarget your blog there.
  • yeah, I agree setup your WebMaster Tool properly, but most of all just make sure you content appeals to Americans.

    Look at Alexa for the top American sites, see what they are doing online.

    I assume you are promoting a blog or a web site of some kind? And, what type of traffic are you trying to target? Are you going to use free traffic methods or are you going to use paid traffic methods? With most paid traffic methods you can designate your target market. Also, I highly recommend using Google Analytics, Google Analytics Official Website - Web Analytics & Reporting ? Google Analytics , to track your results along with a lot of other important data.
