Hi guys, im thinking of getting solo ads but im virgin in this area.

This might sound very stupid to alot of you guys but may i know what does it mean when the provider says they can guarantee you 100 clicks?

Does it mean that they click on the email headline 100 times?

Or does it mean they click the link in the email to go to my opt in page 100 times?

Sorry if this sounds quite noobish...

It means your page will be guaranteed 100 visits.

Before getting into solo ads make sure you have a rock solid solo tracker in place

      Thanks for the advice dave!

However someone recommended me google analytics as a tracker. Is that not good enough or must i actually get a paid tracker?

      Whats the difference?

Hi guys sorry for another noob question:

i just bought a course and they recommended me cpvlab as tracking.

Im quite confused right now and would like to seek your expertise.

What is the difference between GA, CPVLAB and WPSoloTracker?

Cpvlab seems the most ex though...

Also is GA not sufficient enough to do tracking?

I appreciate all your help guys!

How do the solo ad sellers know in advance how many clicks a solo ad would get to be able to guarantee that amount? The CTR on my mailings vary so much from 2% to 18% depending on the email/subject/offer etc.

Do they just have an estimate and then if the ad has a weaker open rate and CTR they keep mailing the same ad again to their list until they deliver all of the clicks they guaranteed?

I honestly don't know why more solo ad sellers don't also send the buyer screenshots of their autoresponder account and the email that was sent with it's stats. Would be something extra and better than only tracking clicks and looking for unique IPs which could still not be clicks from an email.

I use a free Wordpress plugin. It is called Pretty Link Lite. It is a "cloaker" of sorts, but it tracks clicks. So, you just create a unique link, and use that. Its not the most accurate thing, but it works well enough for me.

Plus the solo ad provider should send you the click stats.

They know their open rate, and about how many emails they have to send to get the guaranteed clicks. Plus, there are other methods they can use to ensure you get the amount of clicks you have purchased.

A screenshot of their autoresponder account and the email that was sent? I don't need that. It serves no purpose to me. I need unique clicks.

They generally send stats after your clicks have been fulfilled.

You have to make sure you are getting solos from quality providers. This emilnates all of the concern.

Instead of worrying about the vendor, spend more time solidifying your front end, back end and squeeze page. That's what will pay off for you.

As Dave said, the 100 clicks would be 100 people actually clicking on the link and visiting your site. Most solo ad providers over deliver so you'd get a few more than 100.

The trick then is to actually convert the visitors into subscribers.... that's down to you though

    Good luck

It means that from the segment they send the solo ad swipe (e-mail) to, a certain number of those open the e-mail, and of those 100 click the link to your squeeze page.

Then it is up to you to get a good opt-in rate. It's not difficult to do, I usually get 48% - 52% opt-in, so that would be around 100 opt-ins.

Most solo ad sellers will over deliver too, which means you might get 110 clicks for example.

You need to be able to track the clicks yourself to make sure that they're delivered correctly, and if you're tracking the squeeze page, the thank you page, and any other pages after that, you can see where your visitors or subscribers drop off, and improve in that area.

It means you will get 100 clicks to your link but not everybody is going to sign up, depends on the conversion of your squeeze page.

I agree with drew that pretty link lite for wordpress is an awesome plugin to use for link tracking. It's also great for shortening long ugly links, and it is free to use. Definitely worth trying out.

Before you buy a solo advert have you set up the funnel correctly?

If you're using double opt-in have you created a confirm page to explain what happens next?

On the download page do you have related affiliate banners in place to cross sell and earn commissions?

In the sign-up process do you have an offer for your own product / service?

In the follow-up messages do you have any integration with other marketers who are doing the same for you.

Do you have a blog, or way of building up a relationship with the subscriber so that you're not just another newbie who's trying to run before they walk with solo adverts.

To help answer some of your questions Article Grinder.

You now know what the 100 clicks means. Not all solo ad vendors are equal though.

While, yes, it is up to you to make sure you have a squeeze page and funnel that converts, it is also important to develop a list of solo providers that provide you with quality opt ins.

In my experience it's easy to purchase a solo ad, and get tons of opt ins, but still have a list of junky subscribers that don't open any emails. These are called the freebie seekers and jump from list to list looking for free information. That's great and all, but it's easy to get a false sense of accomplishment because you will be building your list, but have nobody that buys anything.

There are some excellent solo ad providers on this forum you can come across. Most of them seem to stick together and will refer each other. I recommend doing some research or PM me and I'll send you a link to a reputable source.

As for tracking what you want to do is make sure that each solo ad has a specific tracking link. You will need to have a thank you page set up as well. You can send the opt ins to the thank you page and redirect them after just a few second though. This will allow you to track conversions as well as clicks. After all that's what is truly important.

An inexpensive option to set these links up and track conversions is clixtrac.com.

Solo ads are an amazing source of traffic, just make sure you have everything in place before jumping in.

    Good luck!!

It means you get 100 visitors that click your link to your page. Please ensure that your page convert well before buying, contact the solo ad vendor and do research, ask for a testimonial.

There are many CHEAP EMAIL ADS out there. It's better to just buy cheap lots and test out your landing page. Finetune it and keep advertising until you've got a nice list going. Many of the big and well known lists use LIST SQUATTERS-people who always sign up for freebies but don't do squat. You're better off buying cheap traffic from many different sources and using your list tier system to FILTER.

When I buy solos in Safe-Swaps, their system protects me. The seller will not receive the money for the solo until he delivers all clicks. I like that.
