Please excuse my confusion

Hello Warriors,

I am a newbie just getting my feet wet. I have been reading a lot and I think I am at that point where I am getting completely confused. Originally I wanted to find a product from clickbank that I can market. Well I did find the product. The question is, for the next step do I create a landing page, or a sales page, or a squeeze page... to me it seems what I want is a sales page right?

Thank you all for your help ...

Depends. What is your business model?

Don't start with the product. Start with the business model. Then find the traffic. Then find a product to match to the traffic. Then implement your business model to get from traffic to product sale.

Thank you all for your GREAT responses...

Drewfioravanti -> I honestly dont know what you mean by business model. I will definitely research what you are saying though. I read someone on the board that the best place to start out is to market someone elses product so that is the approach I took.

WillR -> Great point, not sure why I did not think of that.... makes sense

If you are promoting someone elses product then you don't need a salespage. A salespage is only required to sell something. If you have nothing of your own to sell then you don't need a salespage.

You would either send your traffic straight to their salespage or to your own squeeze page first and build a list.

You'd be better off just building a website and publishing content. Just learn to do that well first. Forget about making money.

You start talking squeeze pages, sales pages and landing pages, and you're going to get nothing done.

Some people create a review page where they discuss the product so perhaps that is what you mean by sales page. It is a way you can give pros and cons of the product and then from there, people can purchase it. Some people have review sites where they discuss just one product or 3 products and compare them with stars and link to each of the clickbank products. One advantage of a squeeze page is that you'll have your own list so you can send tips, free ebooks and softly sell products. There are many ways people sell as an affiliate.

promoting product is not easy and if you can promote for someone else than its better to have own product that makes a real money.

getting product on clickbank and selling it is called affiliates. you just need to grab the affiliate link and promote it in market that related to your chosen product. though it's a good start

    Welcome to the forum Namaste.

First.. stop reading and getting confused That's step number one. j/k

Ok here is something you can start doing.

    1. You want to always focus your efforts on creating a list of subscribers to your email list. In order to do that you will need to have a squeeze page and an auto responder.

    2. Once you have a squeeze page and auto responder you are going to need to offer something of value in order to get someone to subscribe to your list. This can be a free e book. If the affiliate offer you are promoting has a free e book you can use, then use that. If not you can search the forums here or find a Private Label Rights membership site and find one.

    3. After you have this set up start focusing on generating traffic to your squeeze page. You either are goign to need to invest a lot of your time or a lot of your money. If you have a lot of time, but no money, start with creating useful articles in the niche you are promoting to. If you are promoting an affiliate product, think about the problems that product is solving for the people you are looking to promote it to. Then write articles about those topics. In your article resource box lead them to your squeeze page that is offering the free gift. Then send them to the affiliate offer you are promoting after they opt in.

Once you are done with writing the article, hop in front of your web camera and turn the article into a helpful video. This will allow you to get in front of another audience on YouTube or one of the other video websites.

If you do have a lot of money you can start getting instant traffic through one of many paid traffic sources. Some of the best are Facebook, Solo Ads, Media Buys (on relevant niche websites).

But if anything start taking action. Don't let the information overload stop you. Put together a to do list and start doing one thing at a time. You will start making progress.

    Good luck!!!

      Hi there and welcome,.

By selecting a product from clickbank, I assume you already decide on affiliate marketing as a business model. Here's what I suggest -

      1. Build a squeeze page up and link it to your autoresponder. This will be your base to building a subscriber base so you can market to them.

      2. Next, have something of value for the visitors to your squeeze page where they can get this value resource in exchange for them opting in.

      3. Drive traffic to your squeeze page either by way of free traffic or paid traffic. The fastest way to drive traffic for example can be by way of solo ads.

      4. Follow up with your subscribers by way of email. Build a relationship with them

That's a general guide line of next steps but more importantly, don't spend too much time analysing and searching for info. Start taking action but take each step at a time, do a google search for areas you need help in. Most of the time, the answers will be there; otherwise just come back into the forum here. There are lots of friendly and capable warriors who are willing to help out

      Best of luck then....
