List building in other niches

Hi,

So, after reading a lot of threads here i am posting this.

I am on a niche which is not related to IM or weight loss. So, for it is pretty hard to find a solo ads providers in this niche.

What are the other options i can find to build my list?

You guys may suggest forum posting and blog commenting, but i have very few forums and barely no blogs which accept signature link under my posts. So, these techniques don't work for me.

Any other ideas which will work to build my list?

Interview one of the leaders in your niche, and then when you have the interview complete ask them how they would promote it?

I'm guessing that some sort of paid traffic would work, but you will to know the demographics and what return you can get based on your predicated sales from the list.

Join related groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc., and post
there. That has proven fairly effective for me.

Free report, audios, etc. also work well for me in most
    of my niches.

Doing media interview, even with internet radio shows
such as you'll find at BlogTalkRadio can generate new
    subscribers.

Do ad swaps with other in your niche. Depending upon
the niche, you may need to educate them as to why they
    would want to do this.

Publish content in various formats to position yourself as
the expert to attract a following who will want more, and
    therefore subscribe to your list.

Maybe your niche is too small if there's no forums, blogs or social media hubs?

Are there magazines/newsletters that discuss your niche topic? If so, you can rent subscriber mailing lists which often come with email addresses.

Some will say this is too expensive or that it doesn't work. That may be the case for others, but I have done this profitably. You can often rent a list for $80-$100/thousand and get a very decent response with the right offer.

      Good luck to you.

I would suggest social media too, have you tried using the search tool on twitter to see if there are any people talking about your niche? Otherwise it might be too small like Rocking Last Forever said.

As you said there are rarely any blog or forums. So there is an opportunity for you to start a blog and optimize the same for search engines. Combine 2-3 best traffic generation method like SEO, low cost, PPC, Banner advertising etc. You can also start building a list by offering some free ebook related to your niche.
