Health and Weight loss Niche

I have a fairly substantial email list in the health and weight loss niche, I've been doing quite well promoting clickbank products but obviously I'd like to up my sales.

Does anyone know of any affiliate products in this niche that are good sellers? Or have any other ideas of what I can do with this list?

Thanks in advance!

    Hey Kevin!

    You could:

1.) Promote tangibles on Amazon.com - exercise equipment, supplements, DVD series, books, etc.

2.) Offer coaching (if you're positioning yourself as a leader and guide in the niche)

3.) Buy a PLR product on fitness/weight loss and make it your own and sell it to your list for 100% of the profits as opposed to an affiliate commission. Some stores will sell an entire series - sales copy, eBook, autoresponders, opt in report, etc.

This is awesome advice! Just a thought on idea #2. Even if you're not necessarily a leader and guide in this niche, you could partner up with someone who IS a fitness/weight loss guru and create an 8-12 week high dollar course. You've got the the list and they'd have the expertise, if you don't already. Heck, even partnering up with someone who may be as much of an expert as you are, but on a different topic in the niche could potentially be profitable.

Here's another thought. You could team up with someone offline, split commissions with them and allow them to put in a promo for their fitness/weight loss center, but for the most part, you could keep your list intact. Unlike doing a JV with other affiliates, where they could end up hijacking many of your subscribers over time.

      Just thinking out loud. HTH.

      I agree with Tiffany.

There are literally thousands of tangibles you could promote on Amazon, but also supplement companies and such.

Think in terms of what these people are trying to accomplish and how you can help make their lives easier.

For example, there's this product called Miracle Noodle - and you can sign up to be an affiliate. Check it out here: Shirataki MiracleNoodle Shop!

Also, I like to spend some time on YouTube checkinh out weight loss tips and gadgets. YouTube is a goldmine of ideas if you know what to look for.

      HTH!

You you may also email your list and ask them what their most pressing issues are.

You can have them reply to you OR you can use a service like Survey Monkey if you want to ask them multiple questions.

Then use their answers and use them as keywords to do some searches in Google, Bing, Yahoo.......and pay close attention to the SEO results on the first page AND the sponsored ads (if there are any). Look them up and see if they have affiliate programs for you to promote.....

Try split testing some CPA Networks offers.

CPA Networks like Peerfly, NeverBlue, MaxBounty are all great place to apply and starting testing Health and Weight loss offers.

They convert much better than ClickBank for me.

I'd keep an eye on fad growth things, like the Paleo Diet. That's increasing in popularity lately. Products around intermittent fasting are also gaining some steam, so if you can locate an e-book or too you might see some success.

Sell solo ads to other warriors. There are a TON of people looking for these. Depending on how big your list is, how responsive it is (how many clicks you can deliver) etc. you could do well.

You could also bite the bullet and create your own product. It shouldn't take more than 3 months if you do everything yourself (that's how long it took me, but I have a full-time job, 2 little kids, etc.) I'm sure you'll sell more copies of your own product than of a Clickbank product.

I have a list in the 'how to get abs' niche. I tend to promote related affiliate products from clickbank. Try and have a think about what will be useful to your subscribers. For my list I promote weight loss, sports nutrition, supplements and weight training products along with my 'main' abs product. So, have a think about what your main focus is and go from there.

Having your own proprietary product is always a good idea. BUT, it needn't take 3 months to do it, even if you're busy.

The best way to create a product is to build the plane as you're flying it. That is, make the sale first and THEN build the product. All you need is the topic focus and a general outline. Offer a 4-part teleseminar series (live coaching program) and add a bonus Q&A. Sell the live coaching program.

Before each call, ask them what what their top two questions about the upcoming call are. You'll get a lot of feedback, which helps you refine your product. They'll ask questions you had no idea they'd ask. Or you'll be able to slightly adjust/refine the info you already have.

When you're done, voila! You have an instant information product you were paid to create. AND, you know it hits the mark because you got feedback from your customers every step of the way. You DON'T end up spending 6 months in your basement creating a product that misses the mark or worse, no one wants.

Lisa Sasevich teaches this in her 6-Figure Teleseminar Secrets course as does Jeff Walker in Product Launch Formula.

        Hope that helps!

I like the idea of offering your email list with coaching on health and weight loss. With so many people these trying to be fit, there’s a good business for you in this list Joe. If you’re not a guru in this field then you can look for one who is and then partner with this person. Then, offer a short course to your list so that the two of you can earn money.

Let us know if you’re able to increase your earnings by doing this. If you’ve come up with another idea and it worked, you might want to share it with us.

Try some of the fitness membership sites. That way, you'll get a nice residual income check each month. A membership of $30 per month with the affiliate getting 30% is about $10 month after month. Why get paid once, when you can get paid often?!

What's worked for me with my weight loss list is to focus on promoting products that tie in to all the content my list has read (the article that brought them to the squeeze page, blog posts, and autoresponder articles).

What I mean by that is I talk a lot about the importance of boosting your metabolism for example, so, most of the Clickbank products I promote have something to do with naturally increasing your metabolism. On the other hand, I talk a lot about avoiding diet pills, so therefore I obviously avoid promoting that type of product.

In essence, staying consistent with the content you write in conjunction with the products you promote can do wonders.

I've made and still make my money selling physical products as many affiliate marketers forget that these products create repeat buyers which means repeat and in many cases lifetime commissions.

The iHerb online store has a great rewards program with lifetime commissions, sellhealth has lifetime cookies and they also track repeat purchases and actively cross-sell for you at point of sale, moreniche is similar to sellheatlh, and so is markethealth.

I've just started using another health and wellness affiliate program which I will be adding to my webmasters page, and I use another one which is invite only... if you want an invite just ask and i'll show you what it is before I send an invite as invites are limited (be aware they will still screen you for approval).

    Hope that helps!

Better you make your own product from PLR and sell it for 100% profits.

Try to promote some CPA offers inside your books but don't over promote the CPA offers. I've seen plenty of CPA offers relating to health and weight loss niche such as weight loss foods and the commission is quite high.

These 2 combination will surely increase your income.

Come up with your own product. 100% commissions and unique. And if you could tie in a monthly membership service that would be even better. Why not your own membership site, with monthly updates on new recipes, exercises, motivation and weekly coaching calls?

I'm assuming that you are promoting the click bank products by sending out broadcast messages from your auto-responder. I can understand that is addicting when you send out broadcasting messages and make money. The more you do it the more money you make right?

But take a look at your profits! Focus on the back-end profits by offering a coaching program. You don't see any of the guru's outsourcing their coaching program do you? Coaching is where the money is, period.

Most marketer don't think about this. What if you get sick? When you get sick you can't think about broadcast messages to save your life. Maybe you would like to take three months off like I did last summer and plan to do the same this summer.(LOL)

Finally, develop about six products and sell them through your auto-responder sequence so you don't have to worry about your income. You don't want to depend on running a business based on broadcast messages to your list.

I think it would be good to just send out an email asking people to write you back with what their top concerns are as many people in the health niche aren't concerned with weight loss. This can help you to target the needs of your list whether you are going to be an affiliate, create an ebook, interview someone or do coaching.. I was suprised when I did this with a yoga list and received responses from several people interested in yoga exercises during pregnancy.

Now you have a list that trusts you I would definitely reccomend getting a good PLR product in your niche, edit the content so it is unique to you add extra graphics and any extra content you see fit then sell it from your own site. You could create a teaser product and email it to your list as a free product then put in a link to your sales page for the full product.

You could also add this product to click-bank and get others to sell it for you.

    Good luck!

Rank product name videos or highly related on YouTube for Weight Loss supplements.

This is fiercely competitive therefore buyer traffic can be wild once you get to #1.
Getting traction takes time and considered effort - not for the "wham - bam - thank you- mam mentality."

One golden piece of advice, stick with the niche after initial positive followed by negative. Stuff takes time. Google looks. G wants to see things per the algo of the day. Always study page one to see what that might be, sliding in a 4 figure day is possible given your status or positioning.

Try market health. Compete. It takes money to make money. Never will that change.

In other words, scope your competition (1-10) and out do them .
      Keep going!

-Develop a book (a good one) on some topic surrounding your niche and publish it to Amazon

-Blast a message to your list about it so you'll get an INSTANT boost in sales off the bat

-Within that book have an enticing little blurb offering something, even if it's just a newsletter on the topic of your niche... the purpose of this will be to collect even MORE emails to your list and there you go

-You've just sold something and created yet another revenue stream while continuing to build your list from a pool of potential customers from a fresh source... done & done

I mean yeah, there's finer details to what I've just mentioned but the macro concept is there and believe me when i say... it works.

Health and diet supplements are huge business. White labeling your own supplements and creating a amazon store could bring you wealth you never dreamed of.
