Is there a way to get people to subscribe to your Youtube Channel before they can watch one of your videos?
One of my clients is wanting this for his Video Production Agency.

  • I found a link that may help.

You can create a button image and use this link to send them to youtube with an overlay of a subscription button.

    http://www.youtube.com/subscription_...BEUSERNAMEHERE

or for the button on the page you can use the following code

    <iframe id="fr" src="http://www.youtube.com/subscribe_widget?p=YOUTUBEUSERNAMEHERE" style="overflow: hidden; height: 105px; width: 300px; border: 0;scrolling="no" frameBorder="0"></iframe>

I found this on the youtube blogspot blog.

    • That might be a bit hard, but if you are looking for subscriber for your channel, that can be supplied.
  • Yeah Fiverr baby!
  • Yes you can make the video private. Then choose the people that you want to be able to view it. So in a sense you can reward your subscribers by giving them something of value for subscribing.

    • I thought to watch a private video, you have to send someone the private link but they don't have to Subscribe to watch.

  • Hi,
Interesting place here to learn and appreciate!
I've got a problem. At the bottom of my name I have 3 social networking icons: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. If I click Twitter my access go through but not with YouTube and Facebook.
Surely there's a technical easy way that would permit me to access youTube or Facebook...
I'm looking here if I can find it?
  • If they find your video on youtube itself, then no. If you are embedding the videos on a website, there may be a plugin or something that could do that for you.
  • I don't think you can so here is what I would do -

Send them to a squeeze page where they can sign up to your list AND subscribe to your account.

Upload all of your videos and make them unlisted, then place them into a playlist.

Have someone code something using the API so when they subscribe you automatically send them an email with the link to your playlist.

Now your hitting two birds with one stone - building your YouTube channel and your email list.
