You could try sites where opportunities for freelancers are posted. This is what I do and it's working.

I started my company many years ago as a copywriter. From there it evolved into a full service outsourcing business. To make a long story short, the way I did it was to engage with webmasters on a webmaster to webmaster level.

I was doing the same thing they were, they had issues writing the text for their sites and asked me to help out - then one recommend me to his friend, and then it grew from there.

I never really advertised, all the business grew naturally on its own as I met and talked to more and more people. I wasn't intending to make a quick buck, or to be a copywriter it just happened.

There are quite a few different internet marketing forums that you can sign up for and offer your services for free.

Freelancer.com is also another place to find work but it will be difficult to find any jobs that pay well. You could also offer a writing gig on fiverr. Once you save up enough cash invest in a website for your writing - it will make you look more professional. That is next on my to do list.

When I pad 20$ to list my services here in WF I was getting a new writing request almost everyday. But then, after a couple months, my work started to decline. I bumped my thread quite a few times and each bump never brought in as many clients as the first time I listed the thread. I have no idea why; the testimonials on my thread continue to increase but people just don't seem as interested anymore. Making me consider giving up writing all together.

Anyways, I started with different online forums and then moved here. I got the vast majority of my clients from this forum though. You can post a thread here Warriors For Hire for 20$. Like I mentioned earlier, the first time I posted my thread I got a lot of requests - made back the cash in a day - so it is worth a shot. Just try to stand out from the crowd of writers on there already and you should be able to get a few clients.
