Why have I got such a high bounce rate?

Sooo guys,

I've got a very interesting site, that I do my best to try to populate with quality and VERY unique content.

However, I seem to be having a very high bounce rate (sometimes over 75%)

Could this be simply that the people who I'm driving to my site are not interested in the information? Or maybe because I'm overestimating my content and can tailor it better to my readers?

Personally I'm leaning towards the fact that most people may not initially see how my content may be useful to them, and perhaps I need to repackage/spin my information in a way that seems more applicable.

I would love to hear from ANYONE on why they think I have a high bounce rate. The link is in my sig.

(PS - there are still quite a few tweaks to be made to the site, but if you have anything special you'd like to let me know, then please do so!)

Thanks warriors!

I think this is were your problem is. The article is very good in my opinion but I was uninterested after reading the first paragraph and had it not been for purposefully reading all of it for judgement purposes I think I would have left. You need to make the first paragraph more informative, make people want to read the rest of it. I got the gist that you were going to keep rambling on about how much you love bacon .

Google Analytics has a feature called in-page analytics. I haven't used it in awhile but the last time I did it showed how viewers navigated your site. It might help or they may have gotten rid of it or changed it (like they always do lol).

Thanks for your assessment - I will tighten up on my intros and try to make them more informative
