If there is a small Internet marketing contest, and the prize is under $50, what would you like the prize?

Following choices:

Amazon books?

WSO

E-books?

2 month AWeber subscription cost?

Or others?

    Almost anyone would prefer the PayPal money option.

    With money, you can use it in whatever way you choose, including buying any one of those e-books or subscriptions mentioned above.

    You don't have that freedom with the other prize options.

    The only thing second to money is attention. How about promoting a squeeze-page, webinar, or some product?

    Or how about a free solo ad? (Free advertising is nice)..

    Something that leads to more money or recognition is second. (Still a good second)...

          Yes, it's cool, but As I know AWeber only accepts credit card payment, and not PayPal, then how can I pay your AWeber service via my credit card?

            By explaining the circumstances to them and requesting their co-operation as a favor and because the publicity's good for them, too. They're really sensible, friendly, co-operative people, there: they'd understand with no difficulty, I expect.

    I think most people would like the paypal option or an amazon gift card. Also, it doesn't have to just be a prize specific to IM. I actually won an ipad when I sat through a 2 hour webinar on offline marketing. It was really happy to get that! If it is something you are to a list, another option is buying them a membership to the war room at this forum.

    Ask anyone who runs affiliate contests (I have done quite a few of them) and they will all tell you money wins hands down. Nothing motivates people more than money. To be honest none of that other stuff would be of interest to me. Remember, money is what we are all here for at the end of the day.

        Everyone is interested in money.
        Ok, I start to see why you were more interested in offering those prizes over cash. You are concerned if you offer cash that anybody and everybody can take part in the contest yet if the prize was IM related you would only attract people interested in IM. Is that correct?

        It's hard to give any detailed advice without knowing exactly what the contest is but in most cases I wouldn't worry about the type of person entering the contest. The more the merrier. I gather you just want to spread your message as far as possible and so the more people who know about it the better. Remember that everyone who is interested in IM was once a person not interested in IM.

      Money and iPads! Boy does the word "Apple Inc" get the juices going. A couple of years back I promoted a FX trading system which had commissions of $2K/sale. To entice my visitors, I gave them an iPad bonus if they bought via my affiliate link which included free worldwide shipping (as long as it was physically possible to ship to that location).

      I made 5 sales in total and it was the most I've earnt from one affiliate campaign.
