What's the best way to create a "buyers" list ?

Hello Warriors,! i hope you are in a good mood today.

I'm going to create an email list these days, and i want to know the best way to create a "buyers" list , should i advertise my squeeze page in adwords or facebook ? or what .. ? and i prefer a small "buyers" list than a large "non-buyers" list.

So, What's the best way to create a "buyers" list ?

Regards,
Oliver.

Hey Oliver - it's not really about where or how you advertise... it's who you advertise to. Your product needs to solve one problem. A problem your target prospect is willing to pay money to solve.

For instance, say you're marketing to small business owners. A good problem they need solved that they would be willing to pay for information on is, How to Use Facebook to Generate Sales.

The next step is finding/qualifying your target prospect. Your ads can qualify them and you can target them using keywords or demographics.

Test, Test and test some more. Some advertising methods work great for one niche, but not so great for others. Creating a buyers list, instead of just an email list requires actually selling a product from the beginning, in my opinion. If you want a small buyers list, sell something up front.

A squeeze page won't necessarily get you a "buyer's" list.

Sell something and keep track of those that make a purchase.

Just be aware, there are different types of buyers. To me, the type I want to go after are those that are willing to make large purchases and are not afraid to do it over and over again in my niche.

A list of buyers of a $1.99 special offer is a start, but it may not be the kind of buyer's list that will bring you major success.

    Good luck to you,

Offer an inexpensive item through an affiliate program, perhaps
first rolling it out as a WSO. Let others build that list for you
rather than using paid advertising... paying for performance
    (affiliate sales).

You mean that i start building a list using affiliate products instead of my own products to make them trust me, then send them my own products ?

      Regards,
      Oliver.

No. That is not what he meant.

You create your own product and sell it for a low price. You offer an affiliate program for it. That way you do not have to pay for advertising.

Just offer a great product and offer 100% commission and your affiliates will be happy to build your buyers list.

If your area of expertise happens to lie within the realm of internet marketing the easiest way to launch something like this is as a WSO.

With a WSO you have a crowd of hungry buyers and if you use W+ you also have a crowd of affiliates eager to mail for you.

As HP pointed out, I meant you get others to sell YOUR product.
They send you paying customers. Give the affiliates 100% on the
front-end product, and you make it up with backend sales.

You CAN drive paid traffic to a squeeze page and either on your
confirmation page, or in your confirmation email, or both, offer them
        an inexpensive item.

If your conversions are good, you can make enough from that traffic
on first contact to cover the cost of the traffic... making that a
"self-liquidating system. " However, since the majority of people
who join a list via such a system will not have purchased, you don't
really have a list of buyers, unless you segment AS they go through
        your funnel.

You can set your self-liquidating system up so that those who opt-in
and then make a purchase and put on one list, and the ones who
didn't are on another list. That will give you a list of buyers... and a
list that didn't buy. You would still know how to follow up with both
lists based upon whether or not they purchased on that first contact.

Before I offer my advice, can I ask what the product is you ultimately wish to sell?

This is an intelligent idea. Sell something as an affiliate and build your email list this way.

Look for good products that will make your customers satisfied so that they may trust you.

That's why i'm asking for the best way to build a "buyers" list. and i don't know if advertising my squeeze page on google adwords or facebook will generate a buyers list for me or not.

    No. No. No.

    You are way off.

A buyers list is an email list of people who have bought produts you either sell (see Willie's post above for how to do this fast and free), or have bought products you promote through your affiliate links.

People who come from AdWords to your squeeze page (against the AdWords TOS) will not generate a buyer's list.

AdWords generates traffic. Thats about it. Not a list. And not a buyer's list, for sure.

Now, you can generate a buyers list if your squeeze page funnel offers a product. But, there is no "guaranteed traffic source" to build a buyers list through a squeeze page.

In fact, I bet just about every traffic source imaginable has generated at least one sale at some point in history.

My first reaction to your question was just sell something. A buyers
list means that they are your customers. But the quickest way for
sure is to sell a low-priced product so you make the bar as low
    as possible to jump over.

    Hey guys, I NEED HELP.

I have a list of 4000 from empower netowork. I sent them 12 follow up messages every 3 or 4 days. I've had them since September, about 20 people a day since.

Let me tell you, I HATE EMPOWER NETWORK and I am real EMBARRASSED and NOT proud to be a part of that community and really want to get out and just build my list. (I'm also starting a little web design business on the side because I'd feel accomplished and a little more proud of myself if I did that for a couple years)

However, I just don't know what to sell to this list. Where do I start? Suggestions please?

I built this list by telling people it is the easiest way to make money online, any beginner can do this. So they are looking for something easy, beginner friendly.

    Thanks for any input.

Well I would think you'd need to create a product, and just add a list of the people who buy it. I don't think it would be possible to separate buyers from non-buyers unless you put a product in front of them to see what happens.

    Easy:

    Step 1: Create Squeeze Page
Step 2: Send Traffic To Page

I generally use a lot of PPC ads. I'm not a fan of Facebook Ads because of the cost. I find better rates & results on Google Ads and Bing/Yahoo.

A lot of valuable information being dished out here.
Another option to consider if you have your own product could be to approach someone who is already making sales in your niche, and have them include your product in their sale as a bonus.
Naturally your product will have to compliment or enhance what the person you approach is selling.
This is quite a long winded way of doing it but it is one way that you can build a buyers list.

If you want to build a buyer's list, then market the original way and get people to buy from you. A basic squeeze page and email follow ups will do the trick for you. Just as easy to sell a $1.99 product as it is to sell a $29 product. Dont sell yourself short.

As others have mentioned, the only way to build a buyers list is to sell something. But that doesn't mean you have to sell something yourself. What it does mean is you want to get your offer infront of people who are proven buyers. A great way to do this is to create a really nice offer that people want to include on their download or thankyou pages for products they well. That way you can contact people who are selling similar products to your free offer and give them the free product to include in their members area. This way your offer is being put infront of proven buyers.

You can give prospects something valuable and informative, such as e-book, and white paper to exchange email address. Do remember to inform that you will send ads to them when they are subscribing. Then choose the right product to email according to recipients’ gender, age, location, preference and something else.

There's no other way to create a buyers' list.

Some people do that by selling something for a fairly low price, through affiliates to whom they pay 100% of the price (occasionally even more than 100%), just for list-building purposes. But however you look at it, creating a list of buyers involves selling something, by definition.

Ya I would say the advertising is not as relevant as the product you're selling. If you have no sales then you have NO buyers list regardless of where you advertise your squeeze page or whatever the entrance to your marketing funnel is....

You should work on your offer and test it out so you know it's converting well enough and then you can start buying traffic in different places to build up your buyers list.

My honest opinion is to start creating products
    yourself.

This way you are able to add your new buyers
    into your buyers list.

Build up trust & relationship with them & once you
know your emails are being opened & people are
listening to your opinions, views etc...

...You can then offer more of your products to them
once you create some more products as you go along
    that is.

You can then bundle up all of your products & use them
to create a membership site and then start seeing recurring
    payments in your online business.

    hope this helps anyone!

    Regards
    Gavin
