How much money other people have made doesn't matter. The ones who've built lists correctly end up making money, the ones who don't normally won't make as much - it's all up to you.

It's true, my first list were just a bunch of burnt out freebie seekers that would get their free item and then quickly unsubscribe. I did it a bit differently the second time, and started building my list correctly, and now it's not big but definitely more responsive based on trust.

It depends, as they're many ways you can make money from your list. You can either sell affiliate products, sell Solo Ads, sell your services, even have a monthly email list subscription. Those that make the most from their email list, know how to monetize it correctly and promote the right residual income offers.

And, it also depends on what type of list you build. If you're building just a freebie list, it will be limited. If you're building a buyers list of people who know, like and trust you, as long as you're delivering what they're asking for, you can really set the price on how much you want to make through your services, coaching, membership sites etc.

I know me personally, for every 50 - 80 subscribers I add to my list through solo ads or media buys, I make up to $197 - $250. Then, I leverage this money to buy more solo ads and start the process over again thus building my list while making money at the same time. The key to this is choosing the RIGHT back-end (OTO) offer, preferably instant paypal commission, so you're getting paid up-front.

And, that's just mentioning adding subscribers only, I didn't even mention sending out regular broadcast. Keep in mind too, it's always better to make 1 sale of a $397 product than trying to make 50 sales of a $7 product (That's the big difference. Go for the BIG ticket affiliate products) But, everything comes down to wether the product is a proven converter. TIP: Find out what your subscribers are interested in and send it to them, not the other way around

It's different everyday, i have a few list's, each list earns me x amount a week. But i can never put a bold figure on it.

Why be interested in what others earn from there list's? You should be only interested in what YOU earn from your own lists

More than 95% of my total IM income. (I earn all my IM income as an affiliate, and that's one of the ways it's terribly difficult to make a living without list-building).

You're going to get replies here from a small, self-selected group. Part of the reason for that is that there are so many people who didn't do any list-building and are no longer here to answer the question, because it turned out that IM wasn't really for them, after all.

The $1 to $2 a month per subscriber seems to have been accurate for me. If I found the right high ticket items to promote like webinars I'm sure it'd be more.

I agree, there are many people like me, for example, newbies, that want to start from scratch, so it is a very valid question, why?

        1. - You are going to invest LOT of time learning how to set up a website, learning some skills needed to do so, Affiliate marketing, SEO, Link building, etc etc (you can do that maybe in 40 mins, but people that NEVER did such thing it can represent LITERALY MONTHS of work)

        2. -You are going to Spend some money also in the process, buying a domain, a hosting, maybe a template and a couple of plugins, some books, hire maybe somebody to do some things for you and again etc etc etc....

You do and spend all of this just to find out that you could get a 5000 subscribers in 3-6 months, and you are earning for this let´s say a $100 a month, I don´t know you but I´ll better keep my old job and save all this tedious work

SO, it is a good question, and it would be very nice that somebody says something like, !!! Hey...., I have 1000 subscribers and make me $300 a month...... I mean why is everybody SO CLOSE, nobody is asking for your bank account details, or to give away your subscribers list, I mean, nobody is even asking WHAT ARE YOU SELLING for god sake.

I think is kind of selfish, sorry guys
        And Thanks!!!

I suspect that may be because you're not familiar with some of the reasons that people here have for not making representations about their current incomes.

Some of us have learned the hard way that it's inadvisable.

It's actually a lot less helpful to people than you might expect, as well: it's really not going to help anyone - knowing nothing about what someone's niches are - to know that (just theoretically) out of someone's eight different niche lists (say), they have three (say) from which they regularly earn less than $0.60 per subscriber per month and another three (say) from which they equally regularly earn more than $2.50 per subscriber per month. All it's going to give rise to, really, is some hostility, resentment and a barrage of subsidiary questions directed at the person making such a representation.

Remembering that I was pretty interested in reading such things when I started my business, I used to comment on them pretty openly at one time, until my business was about a year and a half old, and then I had to stop, just to avoid unpleasantness, inquisitions, requests for "proof", and so on (and I was selling/promoting nothing here at all, and never have done - so you can perhaps imagine how much worse it could be for someone who is!).

Those of us who won't do this, in the circumstances, will simply have to tolerate your belief that we're "selfish". :p

Vader, you haven't been around long enough to know this, but there are a handful of people who haunt this type of thread, and will demand to know what niches, products, emails, etc. exactly that people are using. They demand some kind of proof, like bank account details. If they don't get it, they make themselves a royal pain in the tuchis calling everybody out for being fakers and liars.

Not getting involved in the kind of flaming that gets these threads nuked may seem selfish to you. Sorry, but, too bad. I'll cop to being selfish enough to avoid that kind of annoyance.

How much does someone else make from there list has no bearing.

First off the size of the list matters.

Second off how much of a relationship you build with your list matters. Will you spam them with offers? Will you give them freebies? How will you manage your list. This is a big factor.

Also keep in mind there are more than one way to make money with a email list. How you choose to make your money will effect your income.
Are you going to promote affiliate offers?
Are you going to promote your own products?
Are you going to sell solo ads?

Lastly how you generate your list will effect the income. Are you going to give a free product for an opt in? Are you going to sell a product and build a lost of your own buyers.
This makes a big difference because the former gets you a general list, the latter gets you proven buyers for a specific niche.

Actually that brings in a new thing I just thought of. How targeted is your list going to be?

An other persons experience will not necessarily mean you will have a similar one. Its like asking 2 people .. how much can you make with a {insert any tool here} .. a list is just that, a tool, and your results will depend on how skillfully you handle that tool.

With all due respect I would suggest that just the fact that you asked this question means that you need to learn a bit more about E-Mail marketing. Also forget that $1 per subscriber nonsense. Im not sure where that started but its silly as it does not take in account any of the factors involved with Email marketing.

All I can say on this one is take the time to learn how to do it properly. It's easy to waste an awful lot of time doing it wrong and coming up with nothing.

My list is growing every single day and I'm finding that my profits are growing as well. If you do list building the rigth way and you have a few ways to make money from that list then you'll make a good amount that grows as your list grows. The best decision I ever made was to get into list building and I think you're on the right path.

Doesn't matter? off course really does. He just want to know you're income to get motivated and do it at the best knowing there is really something worth trying.

Keep in mind Oliver, don't go over quantity but quality of your list. Never ever use free traffic for list building. If you time and build it correctly, even a 500 people list can bring you $1k per mailing.

    Good luck!

Just because someone earns a lot of money with his list doesn't mean you'll earn a lot from yours. Some people earn $1000s with a few 100s of subscribers while others struggle to earn the same amount with 1000s. It depends on how you build and run your list.
