Hello Warriors, i hope you are in a good mood today.

I'm going to build an email list & for sure a squeeze page, also i will create a product, so, to build a high-quality email list, should i put my ebook in my squeeze page for Free or Sell it ?

If you build your list with free offers, please don't call it High Quality Email List

Free Takers are very hard to buy anything,, if your foundation is based on free offers, in future it is very unlikely these free takers will buy anything

^Interesting post. Would anyone care to chime in on product vs service?

Hi Oliver, it´s the usual tactic to give away something with value in exchange for their email address. But usually you should include a thank you page in which you should include an OTO (One time offer) this should be related to your giveaway and should be priced low. Your email subscriber should get used to buy from you.

Just an observation, Oliver, in case it helps you.

I've split-tested a lot, in different niches, and I consistently build higher quality lists without squeeze pages than with them.

Here are a couple of threads which might help ...

Generally speaking, people who buy from you, and are satisfied with their purchase are likely to buy from you again in the future.

Your buyer's list should ultimately be more valuable over time.

But building a list while giving away content and products can also be very lucrative when you do sell to them.

But you cant sell and give away crap and expect money to come back. Everything you do must be of quality. So, if the first product you sell or give away is crap, don't expect much from your subscribers.

If you focus on helping more than making money, you will be much better off in the long run.

Offer a free product can make your email list growing very quickly. However, maybe only a small number of them will buy something from you. If you offer paid product, your email list may not grow so fast as you supposed. But customers who satisfied with your products are willing to buy something from you again in the future.

    The key words here are:

    'high quality email list'

If you really do want that then paid product is the way to go. The highest quality lists are those with Buyers, not tire-kickers!

Having said that it depends what niche you're in. A lot of niches contain sites that attract people who have no intention of buying anything to begin with. In fact they won't even start to trust the product until they are absolutely sure that the info given is real and from an expert.

An obvious way to give that info is in a giveaway, info packed report.

So, what niche are you in? If it's the IM niche then create a WSO and build your list from buyers. If it's in a niche where it is difficult to gain visitor's trust then try a giveaway and follow it up with lots of persuasive, info packed messages.

You have to sell your product. If your subscribers vote by bucks you can be sure they are high quality subscribers.

This is a good question. I would do both and make two separate email lists. One email list for the freebie snatchers and one email list for the people who have already bought from you. The people who have already bought from you have more of a chance of buying from you again than the people who haven't bought from you yet.

But this could get mixed up when people on the freebies email list start buying your products...

It's important that you get them use to you making offers
fairly early in the relationship. I don't generally make
an OTO when they first join my list, but that's probably
not a bad idea. I do make an offer by my third or fourth
      email.

Deliver real value early on, even with your freebies, and
you do create a psychological bond with many of your
      subscribers.

So, i should create two websites:
1- A squeeze page and put in it a free report to build a "freebie seekers" then send them my product ?
2- A sales page that i'll put in it my product ?

      Right ?

      Regards,
      Oliver.

The way to segment these lists is to use an autoresponder, like Aweber, that takes subscribers off your freebie email list and onto your bought product email list as soon as they buy (and subscribe to your bought list).

Aweber makes it easy using Automation Rules:

      https://help.aweber.com/entries/2170...st-to-Another-

      as does GetResponse now:

How does campaign automation work? - GetResponse Support

and I expect other autoresponder services can do similar things, though I've no experience of them.

People who subscribe for freebies have very low conversion rates normally. Why waste your money promoting to them when you could actually be promoting your product or service?
