Need help from product creators!!

Hey everyone,

I just had some questions since I'm taking my first swing at product creating.

I'm currently putting together a video product and I'm looking for some cheap, if not free ways of hosting my own videos into my members area.

I was going to try and use Wistia and they have an awesome platform, but their lowest plan costs 20 bucks a month for 10 videos at 20 GB of bandwidth.

I am already incurring a lot of expenses from aweber, hosting, membership software charges, traffic, product creation, and it's really starting to add up so I was wondering if anyone could help me as far as minimizing my investments here.

Does anyone know of some cheap or free ways I could host my own videos or is a video hosting company the best route to go?

Amazon S3 has no set monthly fees, its literally Pay as you use and a lot of marketers swear by it for there Video hosting. Relatively inexpensive so i've heard, too.

Yeah, I don't think you can go wrong with S3. Unless you're getting crazy amounts of traffic to your videos and have a lot of them, it's going to be super cheap. And if you are, then you are probably pulling in enough money to compensate so it shouldn't be a problem.

And here's what they state on their pricing page: "As part of the AWS Free Usage Tier, you can get started with Amazon S3 for free. Upon sign-up, new AWS customers receive 5 GB of Amazon S3 standard storage, 20,000 Get Requests, 2,000 Put Requests, and 15GB of data transfer out each month for one year."

Well here's the thing, these videos will only be embedded in a members area of a product I'm selling. I'm sure most of you are familiar with optimize press membership platform.

So it wont be on a blog or open source website for anyone to see so I think I should be okay. I was going to try Wistia. They have a really awesome interface and features which I may revisit in the future, but for now I have enough expenses. Pay as you go sounds way better at this point. I'd rather pay only for the bandwidth that I do use.

Thanks a ton guys. I'll check out Amazon S3!
